Strength of Schedule. While it seems like every time Gonzaga turns around they're playing another ranked team, they haven't been like we have.

Jayhawks 4-1 against ranked teams, the next closest number of games against ranked teams is 3 with quite a few teams. Duke and Kentucky are 0-4 against ranked teams.

Some other factoids: PAC12 0-8 against ranked teams.

SEC has played 7 ranked teams. They have 14 teams in their league. Misery, kudos to them, rare on these pages I know, is 2-0. Rest of league is 0-5.

BIG has a lot of games and wins, but really most of those are because they're into their league schedule.

Wisconsin is 2-0 against ranked teams and beat MSU in E. Lansing today!

But the Jayhawks, wow, 4-1. No one else with 3 wins.

@wissox I know Kentucky was ranked when we played them, but can we really count that game considering how bad they are this year?

They were ranked when we played them , that all that mattes, we can't control how they play , we can only play who is put on the schedule - -of course we can count it right ?

Kentucky... 6 Ls in a row! Weren't they considered the top recruiting class coming in?

Kentucky's Losing streak has got stopped. - - Well for the time being anyways , BIG SIGH of relief , their Conference opener against South Carolina be postponed due to COVID.

You Can rest easy for a bit longer Cal - - your not playing

Someone needs to call Cal out on how he patronizes his players in public. When he runs out on the court during a timeout and gestures how to guard or play to a player in front of the crowd and nationally on TV. That's humiliating for his players. That's something you save for practice. I've always thought he was a clown of a coach. He's a salesman, and maybe used some questionable practices. He sold young players on this idea that he would get them in the league. The players got themselves in the league. Go to the next level and ask about college coaches. No one in the league is touting how great Cal coached them. There are a lot of special words spoken about how Kansas players come better prepared for the league, especially with defense.

I have never liked Cal, nor his infatuation of loading his roster with mostly OADs - fielding an entirely new team every year. It is finally biting him in the ass.

First time they’ve been 1-6 since my great grandma was born. Things you really don’t hate to see

North Carolina not so hot either... it’s nice to see both Kentucky and NC not dominating and out of the rankings... now if only #20 Dook can sink out of the top 25! I shouldn’t gloat too much because it’s early and there’s time for one or all of them to get good when it counts in March.
Meanwhile Gonzaga will try hard to stay motivated as they go thru the motions mugging the weak teams in their division.

This guy Bill Self ... year after year We get to see what he builds with the guys he manages to recruit... methinks he pretty damn good coach

Maybe Cal just needs other recruits. Maybe he should get Drake back out there on the recruiting trail. Surely Drake will know the right recruits that will blend well together!

Yeah, I was just thinking the other day about how lucky we were and how we could have done a hell of alot worse than Coach Self when we were replacing Roy - like every other candidate kind of worse.
