Wow. Goosebumps and got straight-up emotional after seeing the fight in those 2012Tyshawn/TRobHawks!!
Best advice: Rewatch Missouri game, and their Tournament run (except for KY game). That is how a Bill Self team is supposed to fight. They literally went down fighting, and they'll forever hold a place of honor in my heart for it. I actually have them ranked #2 of my all-time Self teams (after the 08Champs). The 08Champs did have a bit more firepower and depth...truly one of the most balanced college teams I have ever seen. But the starting 5 of 2012 had everything Self wanted and designed with with his system. Yes, I would put the 2012 guys narrowly over the 2011 team that lost to VCU. Results and perseverence do speak loudly. As Self perfectly put it for his/our goals at KU: "Make the Final 4, & then anything can happen...hopefully your team is playing at peak efficiency in those last few games..." Nothing else needs to be said.
