LAWRENCE — By adopting a spread attack, Kansas is not, just now, escaping pigskin’s dark ages.
New offensive coordinator John Reagan worked for the Jayhawks before under Mark Mangino. Back then, when he served as KU’s run game coordinator, Reagan remembers adopting the spread, in earnest, in 2007.
That was a pretty fair team. Finished 12-1. Beat Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl. Burned opponents with Todd Reesing’s arm, Dexton Fields' hands and Brandon McAnderson's feet.
