LAWRENCE — There’s something about a name that can innately draw someone in. And that’s certainly the case with Kansas senior free safety Cassius Sendish.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Sendish is named after boxing great Cassius Clay, but there’s more to Sendish than intrigue or name recognition alone. He’s the unquestioned leader of a secondary that is considered to have the potential to be one of the best in KU history — if not the best, rivaling the 2007 squad that featured Aquib Talib, Chris Harris and Darrell Stuckey.
