OVERLAND PARK — Maybe this wasn’t a surprise after all.
Though official word broke last week that former Kansas star Andrew Wiggins would be traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Minnesota Timberwolves, KU coach Bill Self said Sunday that the overall No. 1 draft pick wasn’t completely in the dark.
“He’s known, I think, since the end of summer league that he was going to be traded,” Self said at his ProCamp at Shawnee Mission West High School. “It’s OK. And certainly he’s looking forward to going to Minnesota.”
