Texas damn near beats Alabama, with a backup QB no less.

Somehow I get the feeling we won't score 57 on them this year.

Sep 10, 2022 06:58 PM #2

Missed sack and a missed hold on Alabama on that last drive. Alabama had 15 penalties in that game and I'm not blaming the officials, but Texas very easily could have had that one.

@KirkIsMyHinrich if UTs starter doesn’t go out I think they win.

Sep 10, 2022 07:27 PM #4

KSU beats Mizzou like a drum.

The Duke vs Northwestern game was a great finish. Duke looks better than I thought they would.

Can get another look at Houston right now against Tech

Sep 10, 2022 07:30 PM #5

KSU beating the spread by 27 points. Mizzou is awesome

Sep 10, 2022 07:30 PM #6

SEC looks weak at the moment.

Bama almost lost. Candy got spanked. Tennessee down early. Mizzou spanked. App st. Hanging with A&M early.

Sep 10, 2022 09:13 PM #9

App State up 14-7 over Texas A & M 2:34 left in 3rd qtr at A&M- -- -ranked 6th in Nation crazy ball

Sep 10, 2022 10:13 PM #10

Another upset...a mediocre Washington State team goes into Madison and takes down the ranked Badgers.

Call it a reply to the Pac-12 bashers.

Georgia Southern πŸ‘€

Sep 11, 2022 01:20 AM #14

Down goes aTm to Appalachian State, 17-14.

What a day of upsets!

Sep 11, 2022 01:26 AM #15

Okay. Let's take a step back for a second. We just beat a quality team on the road after being down 14-0. That is awesome.

Sep 11, 2022 01:30 AM #16

App St beat TA&M. Nice transitive win

The KC Star dubs them " The Explosive Kansas Jayhawks". I can dig it...

Apparently the guy who caught the go ahead TD for WSU transferred there from Wisconsin, lol!

Scott Frost is probably getting fired mid season with their home loss to Georgia Southern.

Not only that, but WSU's new coach grew up in Wisconsin. Some homecoming !

Sorry @wissox. Mixed day for you!

Sep 11, 2022 01:48 PM #24

@mayjay Oh it's really OK. After all I was a Jayhawk before I became a Badger. And the Sox are a game and a half out of first place and winning a whole bunch of games since TLR went on the 'DL'.

The crazy thing about college football is about 5-6 teams only have a chance every year to play in the playoff and every other team is on the outside looking in. The NCAA has inadvertently set up a haves and haves not in their sport as each season a jumble of AL, GA, OU, OSU, Clemson have a reasonable shot at the playoff. An outlier like Cincy last year exists only to go to the final four and get destroyed. In the BIG OSU recruits more 5 star guys in one year than the rest of the league combined. So we have no hope and no one else does either unless you're 0ne of those teams. A loss to Washington St just hurts a little.

That didn't take long, Frost has been fired by Nebraska.

I was hoping they would talk themselves into keeping him again. Poster child for legacy hires.

When I moved to Lousiana after Katrina our football coach at Desire St. Academy was named Mickey Joseph. He's risen through the ranks and was named interim head coach at Nebraska. I'll be a Nebraska fan now. Some of you might remember when he was Nebraska's head coach. His brother has been an NFL head coach, Vance Joseph.

At least he gets a cool $15 mil buyout. As they used to say on the old TV game shows, "a fine parting gift."

And speaking of buyouts:

I just edited this.
