Almost missed this among all the football hoopla...
Former KU track star and NCAA champion Sharon Lokedi ran her very first marathon in New York on Sunday...and won it !
The 2019 winner of the NCAA 10,000 meters ran the New York City Marathon in a time of 2:23.23, pulling away late to finish seven seconds ahead of the runner up from Israel. Her time was less than a minute off the course record. On a hot day no less.
Way to go Sharon ! RCJH !
