Will retire after the season.

Nov 17, 2022 08:40 PM #2

@FarmerJayhawk - - sorry I have to laugh , and I'm sorry buddy no dis-respect to you at all when I say this or to Jason either , but I'm serious probably out of stupidity on my part but isn't Jason a Senior anyways? - Which in turn logical that he retire as you say. Slim chance he would ever play pro ball

Or I guess maybe a better way for me to ask maybe is there a health issue that causing this. has he made some kind of statement regarding this bud ?

Hope you don't take my response poorly , not meant that way just caught me blind and curious if something from getting hit these last couple of games made me wonder if that is what caused he to say no more ball

@jayballer67 lol it’s all good my man. I think it’s a matter of he already has his degree and just doesn’t want to play another year (which he would be welcomed back with open arms if he wanted to use his last year) and risk injury. Like you said, he’s not a pro prospect and sometimes people are just ready to move on.

oh , oh , oh yes very understandable. In a way I don't blame him , like you said I would be more then happy if he came back , but like you said at the end of his College career and get on with life, he has represented himself well, doing pretty well. -he got his degree - then ya I can understand wish nothing but the best for him

@FarmerJayhawk how bad is his injury?

Nov 18, 2022 05:41 AM #6

@Crimsonorblue22 Jalon is healthier right now, but it’s not bad enough to start Vasko over Bean

I thought we would have Jalen back for sure tomorrow - -but now hearing things he may not be. Have you heard anything else. I know they siad he was really , really close. Plus he has been going throuh warm ups like these last weeks pre game.

Thing is you worry if he isn't fullyrecovered , he takes a hard hit to that shoulder, or lands on it wrong he might re injur it again and be hurt REALLY REALLY bad

@FarmerJayhawk did you understand I meant how bad is Beans injury?

What is the best guess for who will be the starting QB against Texas?

Nov 18, 2022 05:10 PM #10

I’m guessing KU is smart enough to not risk JD the rest of the season except for maybe the bowl game.

@Crimsonorblue22 I think so? Bean isn’t as healthy as Jalon right now. And I think both are healthy enough where they wouldn’t start Vasko. Pretty sure Jalon starts tomorrow barring a setback of some sort.

@FarmerJayhawk thx! I wasn't getting what you meant. I didn't know Bean's injury could keep him from playing, but then I don't know what it is.

@Crimsonorblue22 any time! I could’ve worded that better

@FarmerJayhawk oh smart one!

Move the dude to WR. Get him #2 reps at QB just in case, but get the guy on the field more!
