Charlie Weis spent Saturday like most other college football fans, flipping through channels to watch games during his team’s bye week.
That was both a good thing and a bad thing, he said.
“I could lie and tell you that everyone was happy that they were off this week, but that’s what it would be: It would be a lie,” Weis said on Monday’s Big 12 teleconference. “I think that every player and all the coaches would have been much happier if they were playing on Saturday than sitting around and watching games.”
