@kubuckets

And thanks to Mr. Zenger's vision, I can watch just about every other team play on TV...except KU :(

@JayHawkFanToo In Salina, it's on Cox channel 22 (2022 HD). I guess if you don't have Cox that's probably not a great help......

MEMO: HISPN ACCESS TO DIGITAL SPORTS CONTENT

CLASSIFICATION LEVEL: FHACTS (Fantastically High Above Commercial Top Secret)

TO: Nuleafjhawk, Professor, Will Rogers Chair of Laughs and Letters, KUBuckets Institute for Advanced Basketball Wit

FROM: jaybate 1.0, Anchor, HISPN

SUBJECT: As the newly hired anchor for HISPN, I am going to break a personal rule and actually watch a football game--specifically, this KU vs. SEMSU game. I am doing this not because my contract requires me to do so, because it does not. I am going to watch this match up of future head injuries for three reasons:

a.) because the athletic department will not quit fielding these football teams and so are a continued risk both to brains and to poaching basketball revenues due to CRS (aka coach-running syndrome);

b.) this could be the only win of the season; and

c.) because I love this year's new football uniforms!!!!

Will the game be on Cox around the USA, or just in Kansas outside the Lawrence blackout? Please notify me using a secure channel at the following link:

www.HISPN.continuityofgovernmentandcorporatepork/jaybate1.0.org

Without putting too fine a point on it, HISPN has taken on a bunch of interns from the University of Tulsa cyber-spying degree program and so they are able to hack me into digital communications around the globe without any of us being sent to Gitmo, under a rubric of interns' training, so long as only sports programming is hacked into.

Please advise.

(Note: All fiction, except for the part about wanting to know if Cox will carry the game around the USA? But of course, sans malice.)

@jaybate-1.0 cox in ks, outside of ks and kc area, you can get it on espn 3.

@Crimsonorblue22

Oh, good, that way the interns from Tulsa won't have to waste time on Cox and they can get back to ESPN. :-)

(Note: Just joking again here.)

@nuleafjhawk

I am in Olathe and Surewest/Consolidated Communication does not carry the Time Warner sports channel that broadcasts the KU games, and ESPN 3 is blacked out in Kansas, same situation if you are on AT&T. So, a good portion of the Kansas City metro area is left out, Funny that Missouri residents can watch all KU games and Kansas residents cannot. I can watch every single KSU and MU basketball and football game but the same is not true for KU games. ..in return the entire country can watch the KU women's rowing, cross country and golf teams...un-frigging-believable.

If I ever meet Mr. Zenger, I would ask him very calmly, while I get my foot ready for second kick to the 'nads, why in the world did you that for Mr. Zenger?

Now I need to find an East European web side that will broadcasts a pirated ESPN3 feed.

@JayHawkFanToo just drive over, perfect day! I would join you in line!

@JayHawkFan Too Really glad you mentioned that. Last time last season I visited one of the websites you make refence to, my webcam light fully illuminated blinding my eyes, an ominous US govt seizure warning engulfed the entire page, and my flippin' laptop completely froze up tight as a gnat's butt stretched across a rain barrel. Fortunately I was able to reboot/revert the system back to an earlier date to be able to use it. Thought for a short time that I had in fact, been successfully hacked by the damn Trojans. I'm not kidding-I won't be trying that again for any game, let alone one vs an Emporia or Pitt State. JMO but FO Zenger...ya think he may be a KSU mole ? Just woofin', LOL only an old geezer's bull hockey conspiracy theory. But seriously, be forewarned about my experience with the Captain Hook feed, it really did happen.

@globaljaybird

Indeed. I tried many links and just about everyone asked you to download software, a dead giveaway for trojans. The link I posted still uploaded a file but it was ineffective unless executed and my anti-virus quickly identified it and removed it and I was able to watch the game albeit at a choppy rate, but it was still better than not watching it at all. Just in case, after the game was over, I ran scans of the entire system using my anti-virus (Vipre) and Malwarebytes as well...while cursing Zenger the entire time.

As I indicated, you need to be very careful with the free on-line streams.

I still cannot find a defensible rationale for what Zenger did to the KU football and basketball broadcasts. I get it that he wants to get exposure for the other programs but it should not be at the expense of the cash cows. I will guess that the TV audience for Late Night aloneis much greater that the the combined audience of all the minor sport, combined, in one year.

I got the game on Justin TV without any downloading. It was a pretty clear and smooth stream. Only the occasional pause for 5 seconds or so.

Sometimes an add will pop up telling you you have to download software to stream it, but it’s just an ad and you can skip it.

Just be careful to get the correct β€œX” when you close out all the ads before viewing the game and you should be fine.
