Apparently, Lew Perkins died yesterday at 78 after a battle with Parkinsons. He leaves a very complicated legacy at KU. He oversaw arguably one of the greatest seasons in college athletics history during the 2007-08 season with the football team winning the Orange Bowl and the basketball team winning a national championship 3 months later. He also played a very prominent role in the rapid decline of Kansas football with his handling of the Mark Mangino investigation.

I don't think many people in the state of Kansas are particularly fond of him at this point.

@Texas-Hawk-10 It's one thing to dislike/hate him as an AD, but I hope everyone is respectful that he was still a person with friends and family.

Exactly, a lot more to life then just athletics ,
