Charlie Weis scheduled an early-morning meeting Sunday with starting quarterback Montell Cozart.

The goal? Get him refocused after a disappointing effort in Kansas’ 41-3 loss Saturday to Duke.

“I said, ‘Lookit, when you win the quarterback gets all the credit. When you lose, the quarterback gets all the blame,’” Weis said during Monday’s Big 12 teleconference. “I said, ‘You and I are tied at the hip on this one.’ When we win, everyone wants to say, ‘Well that’s good,’ and when you lose, he needs to understand as a young guy that everyone’s looking at him.
