K-STATE, KU GAME TIMES SET: The Big 12 announced Monday that the Kansas State football team’s home game Sept. 27 against UTEP will kick off at 11:05 a.m. with television coverage on FSN.

Kansas’ Sept. 27 home game against Texas will kick off at 3:10 p.m. and air on Fox Sports 1. The Longhorns, who fell 20-17 to No. 12 UCLA last Saturday, have a bye week before facing the Jayhawks.

@kubuckets There's no mention of it in this article, but this morning's paper lists KU as a 5.5 point favorite - yes, favorite, over Central Michigan. How bad do you have to be to be a 5.5 point underdog to us?

Are they a horseshoeing school? Do they specialize in wine and cheesemaking? Is it an all girl school?

Sorry to be so sour this early in the day, but I was shocked to see that in the paper today.

Well...they beat Chattanooga, had a nice, convincing win over Purdue (at Purdue) but lost the last game to Syracuse 40-3 almost the same score as KU. The home advantage in college football is between 3 and 4 points, so the teams are pretty evenly matched.

Realistically, this is the best chance for a win KU has the rest of the season. A solid win could give the team confidence and make some future games winnable but a loss would indicate that this is as good as it gets this season and by extension could also mean coach Weis' job.
