I'm probably the last person on earth to have watched "The Mighty Macs", but if you haven't seen it do yourself a favor.
It's an unbelievable true, feel-good basketball story. If you do watch it, after the show is over Google "Cathy Rush".

I vaguely remember being aware of them. Was much too absorbed in trying to become the next Yankees centerfielder to care about some girls basketball team that I could have dominated had I played against them. Two things happened, I learned the Yankees had better prospects and when i went to KU I learned that some of those womens Jayhawk players would play with us guys in the offseason and totally embarrass us. I played one who was phenomenal. I asked her (being new to KU) if she was Lynette Woodard, she laughed and said she was a bench player on the womans team! I was just mature enough at that point to realize I was not a very good basketball player!
