Timberlake’s Towson career.
Year: Min played 3pt attempt. 3pt percentage
Fresh. 20. 2.3. 23.8%
Soph. 19.8 min. 2.9. 32%
Junior. 29.8 min. 5.4. 31.6
Senior. 33.2min. 5.6. 40.6
5th year. 35.7min. 6.7. 41.6
Ku year. 10min. 2.4. 27.7

It is really surprising a guy who appears to be a guy that was suppose to be a good shooter out of highschool, be that bad for 3 years. Some guys are so athletic in highschool they score based on drives and learn good shot mechanics later. I don’t feel like that’s who Timberlake was. Either way it would be interesting if the staff looked at his form his first 3 years versus his two good years to see what changed. Something is off currently with his shot!

Sorry something got off with the format after I submitted, hard to read….. first 3 years he played 20min plus per game shooting 27-31%. Final two years 40% from 3. Just odd to be so bad for 3 years and then elite for 2. It would be interesting to see if his shooting form has changed slightly back to old bad habits.

Correlation, not necessarily causation - his shooting % improves with more playing time. With more minutes, perhaps he is able to get more into the flow, get better shot looks, and not force things? Note fewer shot attempts per minute the last two years at Towson...

He's trying so hard on D he's fouling everyone on shot attempts. Especially 3's. I cringe for him. Don't give up on him.

I feel his pain. We can all see his frustration at times. That's not a good thing. He needs a "shooter's mentality"... forgetting all the misses immediately and being optimistic the next shot will go!

He's an easy guy to set up for a trey. We should run a few easy plays to open him up. We have to show some optimism back to him to stimulate his positivity.

I think if we can get him playing with more flow he'll think less and play more in the moment. He will appear quicker, more athletic, and will nail more treys.

We can be negative towards him and almost void him from our minds... but lets get real... we need him off the bench to help out! We have to continue to invest good things into him and I bet it will pay off soon!
