KU starts the season picked 1st in the Big-12 and #1 in the Pre-Season AP poll.
Hunter Dickinson was named Pre-Season POY in the Big-12, All-Big-12 First team and First Team All-American.
KU is scheduled to play 10 teams ranked in the Top 25.
4 of the Top 10 teams in the Nation are from the Big-12 (Houston, Iowa St, Baylor).
Let's discuss.. What are we thinking of the brutal schedule and the makeup of this team.

Interesting from the Media Day
Self continues to state that he wants Harris, Adams and Dickinson to play under 30 minutes. We know the reality of that even with depth.
Possibility of a red shirt, still not final. Jamari would be the most likely candidate there.
Elmarko won't be full go until May. He's rehabbing with Tyrel Reed.
Defense has been a main focus for both Griffen and Storr (SHOCKER)
Health wise, team is good outside Moore/Elmarko. Moore expected full go in a few weeks
What are people's thoughts on being pre-season #1. Justified or not?

Hmmm, tough call on preseason No. 1.
I don't really know the guys we have coming in very well. I'm sure it will take some time for them to gel, and for Self to find a rotation he's happy with.
So, i'd say not justified (great show).
Will we be able to stop anybody on D?

IDK, I started a thread on the schedule several weeks ago and people weren't that impressed. Seems like a pretty good blue blood loaded schedule.

You hit it on the head. It's a Loaded Schedule ,Bill never backs down for a tough Season, Sometimes wonder if it helps us more or hurts us more, by the time we hit the end of the Season were so beat up from playing rugged Season -But I'll take it .Rather play these types of games other then the YMCA'S - -Pine Bluffs , & others like Saint Mary sisters of the poor. Again you were absolutely 100/5 correct.

I'm really looking forward to Late Night tonight. I don't have a feel for the starting lineup, which still matters to me despite what Coach Self says. But, since the two scrimmaging teams are somewhat balanced, I doubt I'll still have a hint at the other two starters until the Arkansas scrimmage on October 25. I don't know if I get the SEC Network so I need to start the scramble now to watch the Arkansas scrimmage.
I heard late pm is on espn+ tonight, 6:30. Don't hold me to the time. Anybody ever hear if pre and post games will be back? I so enjoyed them.
