And it occurred to me how much I love people
And how glad I am this isn’t 2020
Let’s keep this thing going a little bit
And not make any of this political, or about revenue, or about our differences, or about our problems.
Just people.

@approxinfinity Might be from the era before you were even a glimmer in your parents' eyes, but... Flip flops used to be known as thongs (especially the ones from India where you'd soak the leather soles and let them dry conforming to your feet, circa early '70s IIRC), probably until the other clothing item and certain swimsuits acquired that name.
Now i want thongs that you soak that conform to your feet. Sounds like an experience to have.

So, this will sound weird. It did to me anyway. I went to a paranormal conference Saturday. First time I'd done anything like that. It was interesting and fun. I listened to a couple of intriguing speakers. But there was a guy named Dustin Pari who is pretty well know in the area of paranormal investigation. He spoke for an hour. Almost exclusively about non paranormal stuff. Talked about how we need to love each other better. Be kind. Don't get in the agent's face at the airport when the flight is delayed for 20 minutes. Just normal (not paranormal!) common sense stuff that we're losing touch with as a society. I liked the guy a lot. I'll watch his ghost shows any time I see them.
