Jon Scheyer - How long does he last?
Nov 11, 2025 02:30 PM #1

Does the seat ever get hot? Predictions?

I have Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel on my nba fantasy team. Theyre already fantasy studs, though Duke flamed out last year in the semis.

Now granted, they only lost to Houston 70-67.

Is Scheyer a good coach? Is he all the coach that is needed at this point, at least for Duke? Would he survive with less talent? Would anyone argue that Dukes roster was more talented than Houstons albeit less seasoned? Will Scheyer ever win a Natty at Duke?

Would Bill Self do more with last years Duke roster? Would Kelvin Sampson? Would Jacque Vaughn?

Is Kelvin Sampson the best real head coach in basketball left?

Just some things to muse over.

@approxinfinity

He's perfect for Duke.

Sampson is operating at a different level then most, very much like Self used to

@approxinfinity Thanks for sharing. Looks like Cedric Coward, who was considering to come back to play for Duke is doing about the same as Flagg. He has better FG and 3 PT percent than anyone that is not a center. He has played less minutes but has about the same amount of points as Flagg. Thank God he stayed in the draft! I guess he has 3 years in age on Flagg, but I did not realize he was such a stud. He started his college career in Division III, then went to a mid-major for 2 yrs before going to Washington State U and getting injured after 6 games.
