There is no question that they had great season, it's a team from Kansas, I am happy for them. We will celebrate plenty when KU gets its next National Championship.

@Crimsonorblue22 Guess I'm strange cause I pull for all Kansas teams that make the dance. Of course KU gets the nod over them. And as long as the purple kitties finish 2nd in conference I pull for them except when they play the Hawks.

@brooksmd my distaste for WSU is solely on Marshall. When he called us chicken hawks, all I needed. I've heard(from a coach) he's not respected in coaching circles either. You are certainly entitled to cheer for ks teams!

@Crimsonorblue22 Ditto! I cheered for them exuberantly the previous year, but when Marshall started running his mouth, I ran the other way.

@brooksmd it was after they won the NIT. They were welcoming the team back and celebrating. I was watching it on tv.

@Crimsonorblue22 Marshall is a mid-major coach at a mid-major job. The jealousy is enormous, which spurs this sweating pig to mouth off about "KU ducking him", and call us names, like "chicken hawks". Every few decades, the Shlockers are relevant, and this huge chip on their shoulder towards KU comes out. I remember in the 80s ( when WSU was good), the talk was " KU is ducking us". An inferiority complex is an ugly thing in basketball. Think Misery Tigger fans. Think KSU Mildcat fans. Add Marshall and Shlocker fans to the list.

I understand not liking him personally or what he says. I get that and I feel pretty much the same way as do most KU fans. However, putting him down as a coach is silly. Marshall is almost universally acknowledged to be a top 10 coach and he could be coaching at a much bigger program (such as UCLA) if he he wanted to. Keep in mind that the last two season WSU had arguably better season than KU and finished both seasons ranked higher; you just don't do this unless you have a very good coach.
