for every time Pete Carroll is going to be asked why they didn't go with Lynch instead of passing the ball.

@brooksmd Still cant believe it.

@brooksmd

Was the call made by the coaches or by the QB?

The Patriots dominated the first half and yet the score was tied. Fairly boring game in my opinion except for the last couple of minutes.

@JayHawkFanToo coach took credit for it.

Dumbest play call in SB history. I'm a Chiefs and Eagles guy so I didn't have a horse in this race but I was pulling for the Hawks, after the catch that Kearse made you just knew they were going to punch it in. I was shocked that they threw it with Beast Mode on their team. And then the fighting on the defensive series afterwards was just classless

@Crimsonorblue22

That was one bad call. I wonder if he was just trying to spare his young QB the agony of having to deal with the press and affecting the rest of his career. Even if the entire Patriots team lines up to stop Lynch I believe he would have gotten the 1 yard they needed, after all they had 3 tries and time left to do it.

@JayHawkFanToo I'd be surprised if Wilson called it, he's young but has been there before.

@HawkInMizery

The offside after the intersection was also a boneheaded play. If they scored on a safety instead, they would have received the ball and have at least a chance, albeit a very small one, to win the game. The fight was an act of desperation but classless nonetheless.

@JayHawkFanToo that's true too I mean everyone in the stadium knew what the patriots were trying to do there and yet he still let himself be goaded into jumping off sides. All in all it was much better than that tail kicking we saw last year. But man what could have been for the Hawks

@Crimsonorblue22

Some of those situation are QB options where he calls the play at the line of scrimmage depending on how the defense lines up. It was the first interception ever for the Patriots player.

Feb 02, 2015 04:15 PM #11

@HawkInMizery the guy behind him was shoving him over too. Bad deal. Lessons to be learned even at the Super Bowl! Shocking! Anyone catch jimmy kimmel after the game? Funny!

Feb 02, 2015 04:15 PM #12

@Crimsonorblue22

Yes, Kimmel was pretty good.

Feb 02, 2015 04:20 PM #13

@Crimsonorblue22 The last 30 seconds was really a black mark on an other wise entertaining Super Bowl. I missed Kimmel I'll have to see if I can find last nights episode I'm sure it was a good one!

@brooksmd One of the oldest catch phrases & true premises in FB is "Three things happen when you pass, & two of them are bad." Hello?

Pats had that line stacked & the open slant was just not going to be there. BB is a decades old confirmed defensive HC. Good offensive call if you're playin tecmo bowl but completely asinine for professional level. No worry about a lobotomy for the guy that made the call whoever it was, cause he flat assed doesn't have a brain.

Super dumb play. However, anything that can put that agonized look on Richard Sherman's face after they panned to him is fantastic in my book. And the amazing thing is that his mouth was shut. What a jerk!!!
