@Crimsonorblue22 I'm leaving work at 10:00 AM Friday so I can go home to watch the game since it is on regular TV. I normally help out every year with the firm's March Madness luncheon, but I just can't bear to be wearing my KU stuff and being around 150 clients who KNOW I am for KU at the same time the game is on (in case we play like we did the last half of ISU). It would be just too much.

I took Friday off from work because I couldn't bear having something important to do around noon and not have full access to watching the game. The risks were just too great so I burned a PT day for this game.

@RockChalkinTexas During the Memphis game, I remember being 9 points down with 1:56 left to play. I was sad and had resigned myself to think of 2008 as a great year and just falling short. then this happened -

My Jayhawk daughter called right then from NY and stayed on the phone with me for the entire overtime period for the most memorable father/daughter conversation of my life. Remember, Emily Dickinson said the "Hope is the thing with feathers." Jayhawks have feathers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Team plays in Omaha this weekend and I"ll be in the KC area watching the games on TV. Go figure, can't afford a ticket let alone put up with the crowd noise of an arena.

If you look close, Mason has 4 fingers as does Garrett? behind him. I think they all have four fingers with the thumb in for final four, and Tyler's entire hand is out of view.

Since this is the Big 12 thread, I'd like to pass on this word about my niece, who lives in Austin and has been battling leukemia: "Think about her when you see Texas in the tournament. The players have visited her many times and really boosted her mood."

I don't believe KU owns a Gulfstream they own a 7-seater Cessna Citation CJ4 ↗ and partial ownership (time share) on a Phenom 100 4-seater jet ↗. The Gulfstream is probably Calipari's :)

I thought I heard or read that he couldn't travel with the team? Not sure on that but I thought they mentioned it a while back. OU game if my memory isn't crapped out.

@Kip_McSmithers Self said in today's interview they thought it was best not to take him. I thought he could not go to OU game. But then, he was in KC. Go figure.

Not sure about the KC thing. Maybe he drove himself to the game? Why wasn't he allowed to the OU game but can go to the others? Makes no sense. Either way it obvious his season is finished. Too bad, both parties would have benefited from his inclusion in the final part of the season.

Whoa! I know their conference is lame, but jeez, but it makes me a little nervous to play a team that ranks in the top 20 on defense and rebounding and is almost a hundred places above us in FG% in the first round.

Ah, screw it. Yea, we're banged up, but we're gritty and don't give up, no way we lose this game. We took our bad tasting, early round medicine last year. Kelly scores 20 to carry us - rawk on, hawks!
