Thought I'd get this thingy started early just by chance I'm late. We saw the R's battle back a couple of times last night and let the Rangers take them into extra innings. But @VoyagingJayhawk stepped up and predicted Gordon would get ahold of one and sure enough, Gordon led off the top of the 10th with a first pitch home run to give the R's the lead and Holland came back from a shaky save attempt in the 9th to get the save in the bottom of the 10th. Tonight will see Ventura (2-2) vs Gallardo (2-5) with neither having an ERA to write home to momma about. So the Royal bats may have to do the job again in this game. See ya'll here about 7:00.

Not off to a good start again tonite. First hitter for the Rangers, Choo, takes a Ventura fastball yard. Then he walks second hitter. And Fielder drives a single to right. Runners at the corners and no outs.

Beltre single to left, runner scores and runners 1st and 2nd.

At least with Fielder on 2nd that reduces possibility of him scoring on a single. Hitter knocks one off the right field wall but nobody scores. Bases juiced with Rangers and still no outs.

Finally a SO.

On a funny note, I cleaned my gutters out during my break today, dress and on a ladder. Anyway I couldn't get one cleaned out, so I just went out there now, beat on downspout and it cleared-yeah. I took my socks off so I didn't get them wet. Walked in, hit the rug on the tile and down I went. Rug just kept on going!

@brooksmd Goldens are fast learners, I never used a crate before. I'm leaning on getting one. My son wants me to, really bad.

@Crimsonorblue22 Lotsa work & attention right outta the chute, kennel training, walking off all the unspent energy, shoveling poop, but the love they give you is well worth the strife. Plus unlike another man or child " they wake up in the same mood everyday !!" A good dog is hard to beat !!"

@Crimsonorblue22 We crate our old dachsund, but the other 2 roam the house. The dachsund has doggie alzheimers I think. Almost 18 yrs old.

@brooksmd Our dogs always did, been awhile since I had a pup. Kobe has been gone 3 years and he was almost 16.

@Crimsonorblue22 Nice. When my wife and son picked Mikie our lab/catahula mix at the shelter I was hoping they would pick a golden pup that was part of a litter of 5 they had.

I don't know why we've struggled so mightily against the lowly Rangers. We took two of 3 from Detroit over the weekend who is an immensely better ball club. IT's like we are overlooking or playing down to the competition. The Jayhawks seem to do this at time as well.
