Towson sophomore point guard Jerome Hairston has been suspended indefinitely, the school announced Monday.
βWe have suspended Jerome for conduct detrimental to the team,β head coach Pat Skerry said in a statement. βThe suspension is effective immediately and no other statements will be issued.β
Hairston, a 6-foot-3 Wyoming native, is averaging 5.0 points and 1.8 assists this season. A year ago, he made the CAA all-rookie team and put up 9.9 points and 2.5 assists per game. He has struggled a bit this season, scoring a combined two points in blowout losses to Villanova and Kansas.
Without Hairston available, expect Vermont transfer Four McGlynn to play more at the point guard spot. He's been a scoring asset off the bench after sitting out last season.
