Royals vs Jays -- Game 3 -- Time for a turn around
Aug 01, 2015 05:02 PM #1

Time for the Royals pitchers and hitters to get their stuff together and end this 3 game slide. Ace Ventura goes against Buelrhe and hopefully our hitters put on a show.

Aug 01, 2015 05:24 PM #2

After 1.5 innings neither pitcher has broken a sweat.

Aug 01, 2015 05:28 PM #3

@brooksmd Just got off the pole saw & see a 1-0 score bottom of 2nd. Something tells me we may need about 10 - 12 runs to beat these guys. They ripped hell out of our bullpen last night. which means Ace has to give us at minimum 6 quality innings today & keep his head on straight too, good luck with that.

Aug 01, 2015 05:30 PM #4

@globaljaybird explain the 32's and 29's

Aug 01, 2015 05:32 PM #5

@globaljaybird Hmm, thought I was paying attention. Didn't realize R's got one.

Aug 01, 2015 05:33 PM #6

@Crimsonorblue22 Well- I'm 64 & she's. well I can't say it damnit but you can do the math...

Aug 01, 2015 05:33 PM #7

@brooksmd I was thinking same thing about their ss diving for a ball 10 ft away

Aug 01, 2015 05:34 PM #8

@brooksmd I generally just say I'm to poor to pay attention...

Aug 01, 2015 05:38 PM #9

@globaljaybird All this cuttin, sawin, and choppin, you need to leave some so new owners will have sumthin to do when you sell it.

Aug 01, 2015 05:41 PM #10

Ace lookin goodπŸ’ͺβšΎοΈπŸ’¨

Aug 01, 2015 05:45 PM #11

@Crimsonorblue22 Cain just a tad under that one.

Aug 01, 2015 05:48 PM #12

@brooksmd Showboat jump.

Aug 01, 2015 05:50 PM #13

@brooksmd Don't worry there ain't no shortage. They one's I trimmed today are on the long drive that runs about 200 ft beside & around the back of house to back cattle gate into the pasture. They obstruct a large gravel truck from getting back in & out. Takes abt 18 T to cover & I've a good driver that can get his tandem through a 10 ft cattle gate & lay it just like I want without any hand work, but he doesn't want to tear up his cab. Also have had the smoker going since about 9 amwith more pork shoulder, baked beans & baked potatoes, so other than dragging some heavy oak limbs to the burn pile, the hard work is done till later this evening when the sun gets lower.

Aug 01, 2015 06:00 PM #14

@globaljaybird brooks and I r on our way, kids can play together!

Aug 01, 2015 06:01 PM #15

Crap on all the hits! I spoke to soon, my bad!πŸ‘Ž

Aug 01, 2015 06:02 PM #16

@Crimsonorblue22 Yep, may as well take Ace out as his mental focus is shot.

Aug 01, 2015 06:03 PM #17

@Crimsonorblue22 Not to mention Jays like past 2 games are keying on middle of the plate fastballs.

Aug 01, 2015 06:07 PM #18

@VailHawk must have had a good pm!

Aug 01, 2015 06:15 PM #19

Aug 01, 2015 07:25 PM #59

@Crimsonorblue22 had that done before 9 am...faster, faster...

Aug 01, 2015 07:25 PM #60

@Crimsonorblue22 You wouldn't let me mow. So I did dishes and folded laundry.

Aug 01, 2015 07:26 PM #61

@brooksmd I hope u r watching!πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Aug 01, 2015 07:27 PM #62

Aug 01, 2015 07:41 PM #74

Aug 01, 2015 07:41 PM #75

Be careful

Aug 01, 2015 07:43 PM #76

@Crimsonorblue22 only take 30 minutes. Humidity 55%.

Aug 01, 2015 07:43 PM #77

A few royals there!

Aug 01, 2015 07:43 PM #78

@brooksmd wish u could do mine.

Aug 01, 2015 07:44 PM #79

See u all tmrw? Same time?

Aug 01, 2015 07:55 PM #80

@Crimsonorblue22 Think so...

Aug 01, 2015 08:18 PM #81

@brooksmd Weather station on west side of house says 101.3 in the shade w/21% humidity. Is doable...tough but doable...Much above 35 % is a witch for me to breathe. Dinner bout done, then short nap, then Presleys Country Jubilee from Branson (best show there is) on RFD TV, then ------mo' dang again, brush haulin' this time...work never ends for the weary.

Aug 01, 2015 08:40 PM #82

@globaljaybird take it easy!!!

Aug 01, 2015 08:44 PM #83

@globaljaybird Well, done mowin, took kids out, scooped up grandma's poop. She takes one step into grass and then poops/pees on sidewalk or driveway.

Aug 02, 2015 02:13 AM #84

@brooksmd My new burn pile is already 10 H / 20 W. Once the long limbs are down to the ground that Stihl 036 Pro w/20 in bar does the trick. Wife helped so cut my time by an hour.

My oldest Boxer Roxy, used to go on the deck or porch by the time she lived her 11th winter, but you have to look after the ones you love. I still miss her- the most gentle doggie soul I've ever known. She was Woodrow's mama & our first Boxer to whelp litters. Maybe I can find some old pics from those little darlings if I can remember where they are.

Aug 02, 2015 02:42 AM #85

@globaljaybird @brooksmd speaking of gentle, not! Rio was ready to take my hand off today. He had a chewed up tp roll in his mouth and I had to go in. He scared me, no joke. Had 3 Goldens before him, gentle as can be. He's so wild at times. Other times he's great. Not sure what to do about it. Worry about the gkids and being stuck here forever cause he can't behave. Foster care?

Aug 02, 2015 04:11 AM #86

@Crimsonorblue22 Be patient-he'll outgrow it. Rascal can still play so damn rough & snarl & growl so intense that it can be frightening at times, even grabbing at your pants legs & shoes if you turn your back, & he's abt 2o months old now & weighs about 90 lbs. We've measured his vertical jump & it's right at 7 feet. My fence around the backyard is 6 ft so, knock on wood, it's kept him in so far. He's a handful for sure. You have to stand up to them & they'll eventually be submissive if you persist. Dogs instinctively do not want to fight, they just want dominance. If you hold an object that is longer than your arm like a broom or yardstick & just sort of push it at them they back down thinking it is an extension of your body-like a lion tamer uses a chair. Rio is just full of life & he'll eventually mellow out & be everything you want, but it'll take at least 18 months or longer. If you have not had him neutered, some of his natural hormonal instincts will be more difficult to overcome if ever, the longer you wait. Woodrow was our stud dog & man they are different birds. Not sure I could handle another one like him, & really wouldn't even want to try. He was ALPHA DOG all the way. When my vet rang the doorbell the day we put him down, Woodrow growled & went to the door even as sick & weak as he had become. Was no problem to restrain at that point, but just 6 months before that he would have defended our (his territory) home literally with his life. That's where the expression "He has balls" was applicable & Woody damn sure did. If you aren't going to stud him then get him clipped soon as the vet says it's time. You won't regret it. Woodrow cleared that 6 ft fence more than once & was actually lost for 6 days in 2012. My son even drove back all night from Southbend, In. to help us search that week & that's the same son who helped me dig his grave last July. Vet said he probably was after a female coyote & said dogs can pick up the scent a mile away.

Aug 02, 2015 04:33 AM #87

@globaljaybird thx! A lot to think about. He's not as gentle as usual for Goldens.

Aug 02, 2015 01:32 PM #88

@Crimsonorblue22 We won't see David Price after all this series. ROYALS/Jays 12;10 start today: This is from MSN MLB page this morning...

"RHP Edinson Volquez (10-5, 3.21 ERA) seeks his third straight victory as he faces Toronto for the second time this season. He gave up four runs in 5 1-3 innings against the Blue Jays on July 12, but only run one was earned.

Blue Jays: RHP R.A. Dickey (5-10, 4.27 ERA) will pitch on three days of rest in spot left vacant when LHP Felix Doubront was designated for assignment. Dickey moved up so new LHP David Price could get an extra day before his Toronto debut Monday against Minnesota."

Aug 02, 2015 03:12 PM #89

@globaljaybird see that we're sitting moose again. Rios in rt. thought we might put dyson there. Church, so a lil late for start.

Aug 02, 2015 05:33 PM #90

@Crimsonorblue22 Just leaving church and have a couple stops b4 heading for the barn.

Aug 02, 2015 06:01 PM #91

Aug 02, 2015 06:29 PM #93

@brooksmd we r losing while u Mickey Mouse around!!

Aug 02, 2015 07:11 PM #94

@Crimsonorblue22 I was in church. And since town is 30 minute drive from the barn I did some errands. At least it's not something frivolous like going to a movie. :tongue:

Aug 02, 2015 07:15 PM #95

@Crimsonorblue22 Salvy's poor hitting hasn't affected his D. Good play on that bunt.

Aug 02, 2015 07:27 PM #96

@brooksmd did u walk? Ha ha

Aug 02, 2015 07:28 PM #97

Getting ugly!

Aug 02, 2015 07:33 PM #98

@Crimsonorblue22 like the Royals are intentionally trying to hit them. Why would you hit a guy and put another runner on with Donaldson up next batting .346 with RISP? Not to mention the hitter had his toes right up on the line and turned into the pitch. Be glad to get out of Toronto.

Aug 02, 2015 07:33 PM #99

@Crimsonorblue22 How come you didn't start a new thread?

Aug 02, 2015 07:34 PM #100

That was intentional.

Aug 02, 2015 07:36 PM #101

@brooksmd w/myself?

Aug 02, 2015 07:36 PM #102

@brooksmd crazy game! We need @globaljaybird

Aug 02, 2015 07:38 PM #103

@brooksmd ump agreed w/u! Volquez is a hot head!

Aug 02, 2015 07:39 PM #104

Whooo hooo

Aug 02, 2015 07:39 PM #105

@Crimsonorblue22 Just got home- maybe too late for me. Zobrist doing his part... Need one more...

Aug 02, 2015 07:40 PM #106

@Crimsonorblue22 didn't think you liked Zobrist?

Aug 02, 2015 07:40 PM #107

Aug 02, 2015 07:44 PM #111

@Crimsonorblue22 he'll yes... We do it all the time...

Aug 02, 2015 07:44 PM #112

@Crimsonorblue22 said:

@brooksmd w/myself?

Yeah, you knew we'd be here eventually.

Aug 02, 2015 07:46 PM #113

Would rather not see the jays again, especially in the playoffs.

Aug 02, 2015 07:49 PM #114

@brooksmd The shit can hit... I wasn't in favor of bringing him in for chemistry/personality issues. He was Bret Lawrie's 2nd baseman in Oakland... Didn't know how or if he would be accepted. But everyone loves a winner.

Aug 02, 2015 07:50 PM #115

Jays hitters are good at waiting on fastball and just going with it wherever our guys put when it's not waist high middle of the plate 90 % of the time.

Aug 02, 2015 07:53 PM #116

Seems to me our hitters used to be pretty good at waiting on pitches.

Aug 02, 2015 07:54 PM #117

@globaljaybird I'm keeping him!

Aug 02, 2015 07:56 PM #118

Damn! Those look goodπŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Aug 02, 2015 07:57 PM #119

This game is pissing me off!

Aug 02, 2015 08:00 PM #120

Looking on the bright side we didn't get swept and we won't lose tmrw.

Aug 02, 2015 08:02 PM #121

,speaking of swept, gotta dust and vac.

Aug 02, 2015 08:04 PM #122

Aug 02, 2015 08:09 PM #124

Twins losing?

Aug 02, 2015 08:10 PM #125

@Crimsonorblue22 Reason Moose is off is the pitch that smacked his knee yesterday. Ned wanted to give him 2 days to heal up a little.

Aug 02, 2015 08:12 PM #126

That's why they call it hard ball ...

Aug 02, 2015 08:13 PM #127

@globaljaybird heard that. We need a day off. Keep hearing royal fans talking about Toronto cheating. Is that possible? Stealing signs?

Aug 02, 2015 08:14 PM #128

@Crimsonorblue22 So far Sea has scored 1 against Twins in top of 9th. Lead 1-0. CWS losing and Det won or winning.

Aug 02, 2015 08:18 PM #129

@Crimsonorblue22 switched to sea/minn game. CWS being crushed by Yanks 9-0 and Det did win.

Aug 02, 2015 08:21 PM #130

@brooksmd twins just tied it with solo hr.

Aug 02, 2015 08:24 PM #131

@brooksmd crap! I guess Toronto plays them this week.
