Go fast in a car and slow down, and you feel like you are going way slower than you are. It is called being velocitized.
When UK has a 10 stack and slows down to a 5 stack, or Duke slows from a 9 to a 4, some board rats feel UK and Duke are in a down year and rebuilding.
Are they "Stackicized"?
Yes and no. No because perhaps some of these teams have less talent depth. Yes, especially Kentucky, can have talented newcomers receive more PT and experience during the year and may create a better bond.
I think we need to look at what players these schools return. In the end, it is the experienced players that will have to come through helping the freshmen.

Seeding will be crucial for teams full of OADs. They benefit most from getting an easy draw until the later games. With every March game under their belt, they pickup needed experience and help their esteem.
By Calipari's own admission, the platoon experiment was a failure that will not be used again. It is unlikely that recruits will want to go to a team that is already loaded when there are other elite teams with playing time available. A concentration of elite players like last season at UK...or even Duke...is unlikely to happen again.
The difference-maker in last year's finals for Duke was Grayson. He made a monster contribution.
I wish we would always have a hidden gem guy like Grayson in our stack!

@drgnslayr I just don't see how the platoon system was a failure. Yes all it took was an injury to throw it off a little, but it was nearly unstoppable for much of the season. Last year's team can definitely attest to that. It was just that one loss at the wrong time that made it "fail". Move that loss back a few weeks and 2014-2015 UK becomes one of the greatest college basketball teams of all time. No doubt it'll be hard to get enough recruits to buy back into it again, but it shouldn't be if they realized how effective it could be. Sorry to get off-topic and defend UK's system, but I'm just calling it as I see it.
