Royals vs Tigers -- Game 2
Aug 05, 2015 11:12 PM #1

With a good outing from Duffy last nite backed up by the usual D and a revived O, the Royals notched a win against Det. The Royals are 21 games over .500, second only to St Louis, with a 9 1/2 game lead over the Twins. Cueto is on the hill for the Royals against Boyd for Det.

@brooksmd sticking around?

Aug 05, 2015 11:20 PM #3

Duh! Not his hand!😳

Aug 05, 2015 11:25 PM #4

Det's Iglesias fouls a Cueto fastball into his cahones.

Aug 05, 2015 11:26 PM #5

@Crimsonorblue22 Yeah, you? Already had din din, now gotta feed the kids and wait for wife to get home.

Aug 05, 2015 11:53 PM #6

Zobrist made a perfect throw to 2nd but a tad late. The following bunt was just tough luck. Was well foul til it hit the lip of the grass and bounced back fair.

Aug 05, 2015 11:54 PM #7

Well with some blind luck Det takes a 1 - 0 lead after 3.

@Crimsonorblue22 Surprised they didn't call time and take oxygen bottle out to him. Wonderful story about the 8 yr old catching Zobrist's GS and Zobrist signing a bat for him. Cute kid. One sad story followed by a happy one.

@brooksmd I can't stop thinking of that lil boy, his family and team. πŸ’”πŸ‘Ό

Aug 06, 2015 12:11 AM #11

@Crimsonorblue22 My wife asked me if his family was there when it happened.

Aug 06, 2015 12:12 AM #12

@Crimsonorblue22 Do you know?

Aug 06, 2015 12:14 AM #13

@brooksmd I thought his mom was, I know they flew his dad to wichita. I could be wrong about the mom.

Aug 06, 2015 12:16 AM #14

@Crimsonorblue22 Will never forget the photo of the player holding him in his arms. Just hope lawyers keep their hands off.

Aug 06, 2015 12:18 AM #15

@brooksmd "I felt really bad for the mother she was right there in the front row and saw it all," added Lingg

Doesn't mean it's true

Aug 06, 2015 12:18 AM #16

Boy, lousey MLB feed on tv tonite. Should go to computer room and stream it there.

Aug 06, 2015 12:20 AM #17

@Crimsonorblue22 I would think if that was true she wouldve been in that photo by the time it was taken.

Aug 06, 2015 12:24 AM #18

@brooksmd on one of the tv stations I saw a lady there while he was on the stretcher. (puke)

Aug 06, 2015 12:25 AM #19

@Crimsonorblue22 me either... A really tragic situation for everyone involved, the young man that swung the bat, the family, the emt ump, just everyone. It's the very thing that can ruin so many peoples lives.

Aug 06, 2015 12:31 AM #20

As unfortunate as it was, if only we could all go with a happy, innocent smile on our face doing something we always wanted to do.

Aug 06, 2015 12:39 AM #21

@globaljaybird I read a story today about the team that beat them yesterday. Their first base coach said it was meant to be that they played each other. His son was also hit by a warm up batter and has undergone a lot of surgeries.

Aug 06, 2015 12:44 AM #22

@Crimsonorblue22 Cain always swings like he's trying to kill the ball. When he gets 2 strikes I would like to see him just try to make contact and maybe even choke-up on the bat a little.

Aug 06, 2015 12:49 AM #23

@brooksmd we have not heard from @JayhawkRock78 for a long time. Think his son will be off to college soon.

Aug 06, 2015 01:23 AM #24

At least esky got on! Come on Cain!πŸš‚πŸš‚πŸš‚πŸš‚

Aug 06, 2015 01:33 AM #25

Aug 06, 2015 01:42 AM #27

Aug 06, 2015 01:45 AM #28

@VailHawk It's dark outside. Can't cut grass now.

Aug 06, 2015 01:46 AM #29

@Crimsonorblue22 Pitching and D showed up but left bats in hotel rooms.

Aug 06, 2015 01:48 AM #30

@brooksmd it's only 747 there

Aug 06, 2015 01:48 AM #31

@brooksmd Would feel better if Paulo was up vs Rios.

Aug 06, 2015 01:48 AM #32

@Crimsonorblue22 I know.

Aug 06, 2015 01:49 AM #33

@brooksmd probably has a tiny yard?

Aug 06, 2015 01:51 AM #34

Maybe we can get the rubber match tmrw nite. Later kids.

Aug 06, 2015 01:58 AM #35

@brooksmd I know u know!πŸ˜‰ you gonna watch at noon tmrw? I'm free, need to mow but it will be to wet then. @globaljaybird didn't stick around long.

Aug 06, 2015 02:09 AM #36

@Crimsonorblue22 Put brakes on wife's car tonight. Have to work tomorrow so won't be here much then either. Hold down the fort OK?

Aug 06, 2015 02:16 AM #37

@Crimsonorblue22 Day game? What time?

Aug 06, 2015 02:22 AM #38

@globaljaybird Used to do that kind of stuff. Quit after doing oil change on wife's car one day and didn't notice rubber ring from old filter stuck to the block. You know when that happens you don't have to start it and check for leaks? Just start it, move it out of the way and put down a couple bags of oil dry. And find every rag you can to clean under side of car.

Aug 06, 2015 02:31 AM #39

@brooksmd noon^^^^^ see above!😴

Aug 06, 2015 03:24 AM #40
