@brooksmd Buy stock in protective facemasks!

Aleks Maric reportedly just stopped trying to make the leap from Spanish club Gran Canaria to the NBA.

@brooksmd Sweet! Way to go Sasha! looks like I'll have to keep watch on yet another Jayhawk in the NBA. #RCJHGOKU!

@brooksmd Btw, Sasha must be a very intelligent person of both mind and body. He knew if he went to the league in 08 that he may not last long so he went to Russia to develop and make bank. Flash forward 7 years and now he can realize his ultimate goal with little risk.

@Lulufulu

Sasha graduated with honors from KU with a degree in Computer Science...

@JayHawkFanToo Yeah, I think I remember that. Smart smart guy.

Why do the Cavs list him as 7ft? Pretty sure he was 6'11" at KU at that was KU, we all know how KU likes to add an inch or two to the height of a player. No doubt Kaun is a big guy but a footer? IDK about that

@Lulufulu

I'll bet he feels 7-feet tall now!

Go Sasha!

He might be my favorite center of the Self era. Very strong, smart player. He started out kind of clumsy but rounded into a nice piece of the 2008 team. I think he'll be good for his projected role with the Cavs (backup center behind Mozgov in a somewhat crowded frontcourt). It'll be interesting to see how well he moves at the age of 30.

@Makeshift

The one thing Sasha has is that the coach know him from the time he coached the Russian National Team of which Sasha was member.

Damn it. How do I root for King Kaun and yet root against King LeBron and his loyal Cavs ???

@DoubleDD I'm in the same boat!
