After talking to some folks about the new dorms it has become apparent that the new court in house has transformed the team. Someone in particular has witnessed the new court and its affect on the teams transformation. Before when someone was at the practice facility no one really knew they were there unless it was reported by a media outlet. NOW when someone is on the court bettering themselves everyone sees it and instead of playing call of duty they are out running plays. This is HUGE for our guys and their understanding on how HCBS's offence works. I am happy to report that instead of Ellis posting his call sign on twitter asking people to try to take him out (or kill him in game) he is practicing with the underclassmen teaching them how to run offence and defense under the watch of HCBS. The new rooms that these guys have will better our team and give our freshmen quality time with our seniors on how to run plays. For example when Svi is putting up countless shots and no one is there to witness it he is just putting up shots BUT now he is being forced not to put up shots BUT to run offence because everyone is out on the court bettering them selves instead of playing PlayStation. This is a good thing guys and I have it on good authority that everyone is practicing more JUST because of the new dorms! Its going to be a good year!

@Crimsonorblue22 I wish I could speak on Diallo's behalf BUT I will not because I actually talk to him and gave him my word. Things are 50/50. I honestly think things will work out before December. That said he has some hurdles and the NCAA isn't exactly being helpful.

From what I hear Bragg is SO much BETTER than given credit for and could impact this team more than anyone could have ever expected. He is a guard stuck in a 6'10" body from all accounts. He is the bomb for what its worth.

@Crimsonorblue22 it honestly could be sooner but he is still working on turning his stuff in. FOR REAL he is still working on it. Imagine trying to get stuff from Africa? I don't know how long it takes or if his last school has a fax but it has to be translated and faxed. Its not that simple.

@Crimsonorblue22 I WISH I knew? He and KU are still gathering INFO. He is really good like an Embiid type of guy BUT Bragg is right there with him. I have heard SEVERAL guys praise Bragg and say he is better than advertised... He is said to be a 4 in a 2 or 3's body? I have talked to some guys and they are ALL high on Bragg.

As director/janitor of the Basketball Intelligence Agency, I can neither confirm, nor deny the special operations activities of Case Officer @VailHawk involving Cheick Diallo, or any other D1 college basketball player being unfairly withheld from participating in games his freshman season.

I am at liberty to report that Case Officer @VailHawk is recently back from NESA (Near East South Asia) and especially the 'stans, where he has been working out some really tall bedouins to see if the act of daily erecting mohair tents as far east as the Gobi desert produces an effect similar to that which volley ball produced in Jeff Withey. I am also at liberty FINALLY to report that Case Officer @VailHawk was instrumental in connecting Jeff Withey with Kennedy Sommers and Case Officer @VailHawk came up with the vegan legend for Jeff that enabled him to connect with Ms. Sommers on a spiritual, macrobiotic level. For this Case Officer @VailHawk has been nominated (and will receive) the highest civilian spook award the BIA has to offer--the Bill Cosby I Spy Knock Out Pill Award for romantic stealth.

P.S.: On second thought, since Bill Cosby is reputedly currently alleged to be a depraved sex predator that has drugged a steadily rising number of women in order to take loathsome advantage of them, the name of the award has been to the James Bond-Pussy Galore Award for Romantic Stealth.

@Statmachine I think what your saying is probably pretty accurate. I don't think the guys would leave their dorm room after they got back for a couple of reasons. The first is that the dorms were a solid distance away from the practice gym. The other being the lack of privacy they had. The guys can't go anywhere without being pestered by someone on campus.

Now that they don't have to deal with people and they can get to a gym in a reasonable amount of time I'm sure they are all putting up a few extra shots.

@Kcmatt7 The Towers aren't any further from the practice gym than McCarthy is. The difference is that with the on site basketball court at McCarthy, the players don't actually have to go to the practice gym to workout now.

Have Self and staff entered the spinfluence wars and do you believe you are wittingly, or unwittingly, being used by the staff to valve information, or do you believe this is just coincidental communication among players and yourself?

Good question.

I believe as long as @Statmachine uses a responsible filter, this can continue. Two wrong events have to happen in order for a problem to arise; first, a player has to say something he shouldn't. Second, @Statmachine would have to let it by his filter.

I have confidence in the stat man being responsible and we all will receive an extended bonus because of it!

@Crimsonorblue22 I absolutely despised the showers in the dorms. I'm 6-5 and those showers were nipple high on me. I actually had to get on my knees in the showers at McCollum (thank god that crap hole finally got blown up) to wash my hair because there was no room in those showers.

@jaybate-1.0 I have talked with several of the guys (5 to be exact) and I do not ask questions I know will cause problems. I do not ask a million questions. I ask one maybe 2 if I follow up with a 2nd question. I do not ask but maybe once a week and I usually compliment them on something so not to seam like a question.

@jaybate-1.0 I have not reached out to the coaching staff simply because I might red flag myself. It just so happens that once one of the guys accepted my friend request on fb that others followed. I have been as polite as can be and NEVER ask questions that I know they will not answer. Keeping it general about the dorms and late night and many many words of encouragement has put me in good with the guys I talk to.

@Statmachine do they like late pm? Some really hate doing the dancing and skits. Wondered if they said.

@Crimsonorblue22 I didn't really ask if they liked doing the dancing and skits? I did ask one of the guys that took multiple visits if late night was a better experience than a visit alone during a game and he answered late night is by far better.
