Alright boys and girls, we still have two chances to take one in Toronto and today is as good as any if not better. Chris Young (11-6, era 3.06) will be on the hill for the Royals vs R.A. Dickey (11-11, era 3.91). After listening to that crowd last nite the Royals have to jump all over Dickey early and big to quiet the crowd and take them out of the game. Despite being down 11-4 the Royals came back only to fall short 11-8, but it certainly quieted the crowd and put worried looks on many faces. So our bats are alive and ready to put this one in the win column.

On a side note, don't know about anybody else, but as far as I'm concerned Cueto can pack his bags and move to Boston now since he expressed interest in pitching there next season. I'd rather he not step foot on the mound the rest of post season.

@brooksmd Cueto let the fans get to him. Can't stand Blue Jay fans anyway. A friend of mine is an usher at Safeco Field and says they're the worst visiting fans outside of the Red Sox. They drive down from Vancouver, get drunk, and basically act like jerks at a hockey game. That game against Texas when they threw beer cans on the field was about par from the course.

Funny thing is, most people in western Canada normally have about as much love for anything from Toronto as most Americans have for New York.

@nwhawkfan Must be like Syracuse fans. Was in the dome for 2003 FF and of the 4 fan bases there, Syracuse was the most obnoxious.

BTW, if anybody hasn't heard, because of the Texas game they have banned canned beer sales in the upper grandstands.

Pete Rose was one hell of a player and if not for his off-the-filed shenanigans he would have been a unanimous first vote Hall of Fame inductee. He knows the game better than most analysts; do you know he is the only player in history to play at least 500 games at 5 different positions? Think about it...at least 500 games at 5 different positions!!!

Toronto led the majors in HR with 232, in comparison KC had 139 for the season, I believe that Toronto also led the League in runs scored from HRs. The long ball was supposed to be their forte and apparently it took the day off today. :)

So...Pete Rose is a very flawed and unlikable individual. I have posted before that he does not seem to be a very nice person but on the field he played with more passion than any player I can think of. He is one of the top players of all time and was also a successful manager, and thus he brings a lot of knowledge to the table. More importantly, he picked the Royals to win in 5 games...:)
