@jaybate 1.0 Sorry jb, the nodebb platform is a work in progress.. While it has lots of stuff that blows my mind (particular speed and ease of use), they're still actively building everything out. I'd imagine there will always be a few little gotchas of one sort or another, along with the cool stuff. Hopefully when they get to a stable place with the new version and I can upgrade again, this issue will go away. I'm not sure what's causing it. I didn't yet do anything to try to resolve it for you (restart board).

@approxinfinity Love the many neat features of this site, while keeping it clean and simple. I just use a computer and rarely have issues, but I keep wishing other sites would have some of these cool features....the auto update without having to refresh, the little bell, the user info, the unread list.... Makes other blogs and chats seem primitive. Just wanted to say thanks again to you and the nodebb guys.

Noted. For what it's worth, I am hugely impressed with impressed with site function, clean interface, and absence of click ads. This level of function from a free platform has to make commercial portals wonder about the net benefits of their sunk costs and ongoing expenses. This has turned out not to be just a Band-Aid, but a preferred site experience. On the phone, it is often better than the mobile versions of commercial sites. Rock chalk!

@jaybate 1.0 "a preferred site experience". No lie.

You may be talking more about technical quality, but content is terrific too.

  • Almost all the best posters from the former site are here, and the quality of your content is perhaps better than ever.
  • Also, addition by subtraction: many of the posters we wouldn't necessarily want here have stayed away in droves.
  • Given Jesse Newell's transfer to Tokeka (without having to sit out a year), it was time for an independent site with links to interesting articles from various sources.

@ParisHawk +1 I really like the links to other articles and am SO GLAD Jesse didn't have to sit out a year! So he's taking a class not offered at his previous school like Black?

@ParisHawk, thx and let's keep getting better!
