Kelly played 40 minutes two nights ago in a win.

Kelly has been putting good numbers for the wizards.

KO is one guy I wish we'd had a chance to see develop into a 3 or 4 year player. Maybe JJ doesn't come to KU if Kelly stayed, but we'd still have a deep team if he'd stayed.

Why would Oubre stay at KU? He is proving that he was ready for the NBA and making more money than most of us make.

@JayHawkFanToo Well I wasn't saying he wasn't ready, I just thought it'd be nice to have seen him develop. I liked his play. It definitely wasn't for the reason @Crimsonorblue22 mentioned!

Unfortunately that ship has sailed. Very few players that are drafted by the NBA are 4 year players; most are underclassmen...or foreign.

@JayHawkFanToo Agreed. I loved watching for a year but if you are a lottery pick you have to go. He is looking good and happy that it seems to be working out.

What I don't understand is the Wayne Selden type leaving. Does anyone else?

@joeloveshawks I think he meant he just wishes we could've have watched him a lil longer, not that he should have stayed.

@Crimsonorblue22 Yes, totally. That is how I read it as well. I wish we could have seen more of him too. I guess I always assumed it was a 1 year deal with Kelly so I didn't give it too much thought when he left.

@wissox I'm glad that didn't happen. That means Wayne doesn't play the 3, remains at the 2, and our ball handling suffers. It also means Devonte doesn't get the starter's minutes he got last year, and is still just getting his feet wet. I believe everything happens for a reason, and it worked out how it was supposed to. Just my opinion, though.
