It is a great thing when you can respect and applaud your adversaries.
I've respected and applauded Lon Kruger since the early 70s, when he led K-State to two Big 8 Championships under Jack Hartman, another man of great character. It was tough for me to acknowledge that back then because I was already deep in crimson/blue.
OU is on a roller coaster which took them so high last year, only to drop them down into the depths of despair this year. They will be back. As long as Lon stays in Oklahoma, you can count on a big fight from the Sooners every time we hook up.
Kudos to Lon for being a great man and an excellent mentor for so many players and young people today!
