If they're in Wichita I may have to go. I've never made it to a tournament game. I almost drove to San Antonio in '08 on a whim, but sobered up.

@dylans

Keep in mind that the NCAA might remove games from Wichita like it did from North Carolina because of political considerations. Remember, California state schools are not allowed to play in Kansas.

Why?

@nuleafjhawk Potty policies.

Apr 05, 2017 06:35 PM #8

It's why we dropped a home and away with UCLA and switched to Arizona.

Apr 05, 2017 06:45 PM #9

@wrwlumpy Mercy I didn't even know we had a home and home series with Arizona? when did that happen? - - I know we had one with Arizona state. - -No trying to be a smart a - - I'm serious did we get one with Arizona too? that would be cool - -Or was you talking about Arizona ST? - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@JayHawkFanToo

North Carolina recently changed their law in an attempt to become eligible for the next round of NCAA tournament site designations. Will be interesting to see how other legislatures handle this issue now that North Carolina was a test case for how organizations will respond.

Apr 05, 2017 07:49 PM #14

I should have said ASU.

Apr 05, 2017 07:56 PM #15

@justanotherfan

There is a chance that the new administration will change the original mandate although this seems unlikely. I don't believe the change in law in North Carolina is final yet and according to many, will not meet the "politically correct" requirements, so it is not a done deal..

@wrwlumpy Hell your fine - - I just thought knowing me I had just flat plain missed it, wouldn't surprise me if I did, you did fine I got that part timers diease lol. - -some times I can remember things sometimes I miss things - -it's all good. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@JayHawkFanToo let CA schools forfeit!

Apr 07, 2017 03:07 AM #18

Texas passed a pretty similar bill to North Carolina's HB2 that is not getting near the attention from anyone that HB2 did. The NFL did mention the possibility of not awarding future Super Bowl's to Houston or Dallas, but I don't recall ever hearing the NCAA mention anything about pulling games from Texas. Probably has something to do with the fact that Texas has 3 of the 7 or 8 Final Four eligible venues and the NCAA would lose a ton of money if they kept the Final Four out of those 3 cities.

Apr 07, 2017 03:19 AM #19

@Bwag

No chance of that happening. Kansas has a very limited clout and the NCAA would move the games from Wichita in no time flat.

Apr 07, 2017 10:14 AM #20

Isn't the reason the North Carolina situation became such an issue was because of the NBA? Other states seem to be flying under the radar because nothing significant in the news has happened to bring attention their way. Is that a correct statement?
