There are specific rules against the cheerleaders being distractions during game action. Looks like the official warned him. I've actually seen that happen at the HS level before - never in college, though.

I was watching this game when it happened. The kid had lined up for the free throws and the cheer leader and I watched the replay of the situation this morning and the cheerleader used his megaphone or whatever they call them things and he said -- NOT TODAY and then the kids name - -referring to him making the free throw.

The referee was quoted as saying he had been warned about this - -saying the kids name and ignored the warning - -continuing to do it- -so that is why he had him removed. - -that's the first time I've ever seen that happen lol. - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

When i first saw the headline i though...what did the cheerleader do? Did she flash him as he was shooting the free throw?...and then I saw it was male cheerleader. when talking about them aren't they usually referred as "male" cheerleaders or yell leaders? "cheerleader" by itself would normally implies a female...ESPN click bait I am sure.

@JayHawkFanToo You are pretty late to modern cheerleading, I think.
