Ok, so here is the thing. Been reading from some , no a lot but some how they were disgusted by the performance at late night. Then we got Self an our AD apologizing about it , kind of made me wonder Made me think - - - well maybe I'm all wrong with my thought , my train of thought - -thinking dam what's the deal. - - THEN since I've seen ALOT more from people thinking the same train of thought I had - gonna list some posts from people here that I've read not only from the Phog but seen post from other sites pretty much the same:

some of the following posters stated : - -At Least the Dog Father knows no apology is necessary. - - - - - A poster stated They knew what they were getting. They just over reacted to the initial over reactions and went into FULL DEFENSE MODE which just makes it look worse ( - -I agree 1,0000 times over with that point 0 why the hell you apologizing for? - there is no need to apologize. it said had the NCAA"S - -NOA not been hanging over our heads they wouldn't of said anything. - - - -Another post stated that he and his wife were discussing the back lash and both thought - - - what the hell did the admins expect ? - -They hired Snoop Dogg for GOD'S sakes to preform it was never going to be G Rated. - - - which I agree with for sure - - I mean dam come on - -hell I'm 65 years old and even I knew who the hell Snoop Dogg is -- I know what he brings to his shows, unless you have just been living under a rock/cave or NEVER leave your house - -you've heard of Snoop Dogg and pretty well know what type of performance he is going to put out. - -Yet they still bring him in - -and don't try and feed me any of this BS about they didn't realize - take that crap somewhere else - - I'm not buying that.

I totally get where Snoop Dogg was coming from with his performance - - unlike some he HASN'T been sheltered/ living under the rock, he has heard about this whole NCAA thing/ FBI thing with Schools - -that's a big reason I'm sure he incorporated it into his act -he brought in the poles because of the school the NCAA hit for supposedly taking a recruit to the strip joint and then the Gun shooting the money ya was for the paying money to shoe companies to get recruits come play at the schools. - - It wasn't like he was trying to rub anything in KU face - if anything he was goating the NCAA

As far as the cursing/vulgarness - -that's Snoop - -it's a typical Snoop performance, the guy is an Icon - - made millions for preforming , everything I've heard the recruits love it - -being able to see him KK Robinson stated as much for one - -others said as much also. - - KU always uses late night as a big recruiting tool , brings in people to enhance recruits visits - - is that's what it's about? - -to make sure the recruit has a really good experience ? -That's why we bring in rappers and such right to help with that? -As far as other one's that was there watching is - -- if you were there and you were offended - - then just answer me this one question - - was anyone forcing you to stay? - - did someone have a gun to your head ?- -a knife to your throat ? - - were you tied down? - -you disgusted by Snoop - - then get up - - stand on your feet and LEAVE simple enough - -if you don't like what's taking place - - then get out. - - just think this is way over blown - It's SNOOP DOGG like said before and they knew and Snoop said himself - -you paid for Snoop Dogg you going to get Snoop Dogg - that's just who he is - -plain and simple. - KU apologizing looks worse then not, just makes them look more like kissing ass/sucking up to the NCAA

This is just my stance/opinion - -I'm just ONE that's here but here to say there is ALOT of others that feel as I do - -I mean ALOT - I'm not here to drag this thing out swap barbs with certain people that's here - -I'm just simply voicing mine -your totally good to voice yours - -let's just try and keep this civil people. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I find the whole thing to be a little funny. It did occur to me that those pole dancers looked pretty much the same as dance team girls. But that's totally ok, right?

Also, if Self is to believed, he said beforehand that his preference would have been Hootie and the Blowfish. And who wants Darrius Rucker when you can have Snoop Dogg?

The last 3 rappers that were at Late Night were radio edited, like all music that's played at every venue at KU. Believe what you want.

I'm not doubting that he wanted it radio edited. I'm doubting that he wanted Darrius Rucker. Nobody requests Hootie and the Blowfish. Kids, adults, Nobody.

I'm 40 and I would have been excited to see Snoop b/c he played his old stuff.

And with kids present I would have preferred radio edit. Fo shizzle.
