Just read a piece of TOS from Jon Rothstein, He said Several power Conferences have had preliminary discussions holding games in bubble type setting. One of many potential options but gaining traction with student athletes taking classes on line.

The individual that made post brought up Kansas City for the possible bubble for the Big 12 ? - Another mentioned some hell hole in Iowa - -Thoughts ? - - Opinions ? - -Ideas ? . - - rock chalk all day long baby

It would be nice... but the problem is the length of time to be in the bubble. Will have to completely change the schedule imo

Man, I was thinking - no joke! - the exact same thing this morning after seeing highlights of what the NBA is doing. Obviously, the Big12 and other conferences don't have the resources that the NBA does, but it is doable. I, personally, think that this nation needs college sports, especially now. I might be in the minority here, but it is at this point I believe a national necessity. Kansas City would be the way to go for the Big12 - the most centrally located of all potential venues. Basketball is more doable than football, not near the amount of players or staff.

ya, I THINK your right , when I was reading some other posts on it , I think there was talk about having to juggle schedules I believe. Like some said though if it would help save the Season then - - let's do it. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

You could do a basketball bubble if the season were cut down to conference play only. With 18 games to complete, you could do that in less than seven weeks.

Imagine starting conference play right after the start of the new year (let's go with Monday, January 4). Play games on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays like normal, but you would play three games some weeks. At 5 games every 2 weeks, you would finish up conference play on February 20, or could stretch the regular season out to Feb 27. Or, if you needed to back things up, start the bubble on January 18, wrap on March 6, Big 12 tournament runs March 11-13, NCAA tournament starts the next weekend.

Its basically 8 weeks in the bubble (including the conference tournament). If you include the first two weeks of January, that's 10 weeks total. It's not perfect, but it is doable.
