@Crimsonorblue22 They put the BB team in the back room at freestate We were waiting for a table at the bar when the team left.... they had to walk through that little tunnel past the bathrooms. The big dude, Mamadou, is big. I've seen a lot of jayhawks around town (Withey, Pollard, Simien, Manning etc) and that Irvine guy was the first person I've ever thought seemed freakishly tall in person. The Greek guy was pretty big too.
Hopefully they all had the buttermilk chicken dinner special. Didn't agree with my wife.

On a related note, anyone watch the Louisville/Kentucky game yesterday and think either of those two teams should be in the top 25?
I've seen ISU and OSU each play one game this year. While I watched, I thought, holy crap, the minutia we worry about as KU fans. Those schools have good players and lousy teams. They will implode, as always, and lose to worse teams at home down the stretch when the pressure starts to mount. The end.
Not even a bold prediction. I'm with JB... watch out for Texas for a change of pace.
Who cares. They both choke. Don't overthink it!
Edited to add: Both those teams will lose games they should not lose. The key for winning the big 12 is to win every game at home, and let the other guys screw up one or two games (hopefully to KU!)

@jaybate-1.0 Great stuff on Naismith, JB! I've read Rob Rains' book on Naismith, and he was ahead of his time in many ways. Hell, he was ahead of our time in a lot of ways.
You don't have to convince me! All I want is a shot blocker. IMO, with our porous perimeter D and new rule enforcement, a rim protector is more important than almost anything else. Play Hunter 10-12 minutes each half and get a message in the opponents' heads to stay out of the lane.
Hell, I'd like to see one of our bigs actually foul out dominating the paint.
Scripted (definitely!), but really cool. Naismith apparently had a lot to do with perpetuating his own legend with the peach basket. Judging by the photos, he carried one around with him 24/7.
