Landen Lucas on the future: “Coach (Bill) Self understands what it takes to make it deep in the tournament. Going forward, we have to make sure whatever he says to do, to do it. It starts from the top down as far as leadership goes. Next year we have to make sure to do what he tells us to do.
“It hurts going out early. The main focus is doing whatever it takes in the future. If it’s individual improvements, we have to make those improvements, make sure we do something about it instead of just talking about not going home this early.”
So this tells me the team didn't buy into his game planning.. It showed by their inconsistent play all year.
Knew we would lose to WSU after we went from 42% 3 point shooting team until last 7 games. Quit scheduling so hard and let the team rest. They were tired the last 5 weeks
Recruit and sign 2 big men taller than 6-9 and hope Oubre comes back and Svi develops. Offense will be better if this happens. We need to hire a big man coach. Roberts is horrible!

Good post. I think teams look at us as "their Super Bowl game" and play to their capability the remainder of schedule. We need another blue blood in our league. I was hoping for Louisville and that didn't happen. That's why ACC does better in tourney
That was not goal tending. They need to have replay for that when it effects the outcome of a game. Feel bad for Larry the Legend. Live in Dallas and like rooting for SMU as long as he's the coach

Glad she's gone. No reason we can't have a successful women's team with the tradition and facilities that KU offers. Always thought she under achieved and got way too much time at the helm. Hope we land a good coach and build a top 25 program like all the other blue blood men's programs have
First time in Self era we lost more road games than they won. Oubre's boneheaded play to try to save a ball off missed shot was the momentum changer. They hit a 3 and went ahead by 2 and never trailed.
I'm say way. My wife is like " this game means nothing". I'm still yelling

I think we have made 6 3's in last 5 games now on 40 attempts. How do we go from 8th in nation from 3 and now shoot it like last year? We will not make it out of 2nd rd unless we get back to shooting 40% from 3
