All Longhorn basketball fans want Shaka out of town and want their own Longhorn Chris Beard to be hired. They are going to build a Texas size new arena and will have to have a successful team.
Only problem, they would have to pay Shaka $18,000,000 to have him leave. Giving Beard the talent that Texas can recruit, the Longhorns would become a National Powerhouse.
All of this might not happen, but Texas does have the money to make it work.

I wondered why we were preseason number 1 when no one in the country really knew anything about us. Then came the scandal and the Sainthood of our coaching staff was vanquished. Then the loss of all our players one at a time made me start to turn off the television when we would be down by double digits on the road and know that this team was talented but that it was just too young. No one blames the players. Coach also did the best he could do.
Like you and me, we will heal, and so will Kansas Basketball. I will watch the tournament, but right now, we all are in recovery.
I'm not writing here much anymore. I might do a preview pictorially like I used to do with unknown schools and campus's during the NCAA, but now, ...meh...
I've missed you. Let's both look forward to the magic of KU Basketball.

As the bodies began to pile up, we knew this was the year.
I am amazed that the Mystical power of Allen Field House became stronger.
We've always had consistent scorers (Plural). We had to become a one trick pony in
a powerhouse conference that had a good coaches at a couple school that brought back
lots of Veterans (Texas Tech and cough, cough Bruce.)
4 Freshmen. Remember, the best thing about Freshmen is that they become Sophomores.
I will gladly eat crow if we somehow end up sharing the title.
Some of the disagreement's that raged between Jaybate and the others were his defense of two players that many on this site detested whenever they were in the game. Many often stated that it was time to get rid of Self. I think that the argument's that took place were caused by how each one of us felt after a loss or how each of us would bitch because we didn't win by a lot more. Jaybate always had his side and the others, well, they were the others. Jaybate felt recently that Self had betrayed him and the school that he loves. His heart was broken by Self and his response was incredible anger at this betrayal, and by what made his 15 years of praise, now ring hollow.
I miss Jaybate. No one loved the Jayhawks and Self more. He would wax eloquently and put words to what we all love most about basketball. I didn't leave the Jayawks, but I understand the pain and anger of why he walked away. I still watch. I watched as we beat Tennessee, Michigan State, Villanova. I watched as Doke went down, I watched when Silvio was removed, I watched Self, as his last nerve was snapped by Vick. I watched with trepidation as our top superstar recruit see's less and less floor time. I saw the strain that Self has gone through.
Then I watched magic happen at TCU. The locker room exploding in Joy and Coach doing his happy dance with them. I watched as 4 Freshmen Started and Self began to re-discover the reason why he coaches.
For the last 14 years, we are right where we have always been. I now care about it all. Allen Field House is crazier than it has ever been....but I miss Jaybate.
The pain just keeps getting in the way.
