  @Crimsonorblue22 I suspect you are right. No one in his right mind would pick a fight with the most powerful player (and apparently GM as well) in the NBA. I believe that at times LeBron can be a good teammate and mentor, but other times he can be a real jerk.

  @Crimsonorblue22 I saw the movie when it premiered in Lawrence and was not impressed. The perspective seemed to be not favorable to Phog Allen or Naismith for that matter. All the game scenes were poorly recreated when they could have used original footage, but I guess a rift with Chamberlain’s family (and maybe KU???) nixed that. Wesley was pretty good. Also they had long commercials for the director’s other projects that look like amateurish movies a grade school kid would make and seemed longer than the actual movie. in short, the concept was good but the implementation poor. I might watch the movie again if it comes to free TV or cable but, and as much as I like all KU-basketball related things, I would not pay money to see it a second time. Just my opinion and probably others think differently. P.S. The above was posted to the old form but it was probably done post-transfer. P.P.S. I like the preview feature

  @HighEliteMajor Andrew Wiggins is still on your mind? I thought you went on vacation? I just got back from mine. I had a wonderful time. Picked up a few pounds, but I will work them off quickly. Are you looking forward to the upcoming season? I know I am. I think Oubre will be an assassin this upcoming season. Ellis and Traylor should be much improved. Mason and Frankamp will have more of a leadership role. Alexander should be ready by conference time, if not sooner. I am looking forward to another exciting year of Kansas Jayhawk Basketball. I look at these young men as I would my own children. I root for them in good times and bad. I enjoy every win and try to get over the losses quickly and move forward. During down times like this, I watch the ISU game when EJ dropped 39 on them and it still brings a smile to my face. There are so many positives to Kansas Jayhawk Basketball. I am looking forward to another great season. Hopefully another Conference Championship and another trip to the NCAA Tournament.

  @RockChalkinTexas http://u18men.fibaeurope.com/enDivB/default.asp This year he is averaging 30.43 points per 40 minutes. If you look at everything per 40 minutes he would have 6 boards 4 assists and 4 steals to go along with his 30pts. Not a bad line if you ask me? Last year on his U16 team he averaged 36 minutes and his stat line was pretty good. 25.2pts, 8reb, 3.4ast, 3.3st, and .8bs over 36.8 minutes. His production has been about the same for a couple years. I cant wait to see this guy in crimson and blue!

  @jaybate 1.0 I am a broad rat. I love eating cheese and talking KU basketball. I spend many nights searching the web on all things KU basketball. I even track former KU basketball players in the NBA and overseas, even though I hate the professional game. I believe that KU is the birth place and the protector of the game we call basketball. OH wait this isn’t a thread about addictions on KU basketball? Never mind.

  @jaybate 1.0 maybe the tail is wagging the dog. Instead of barring gambling from college sports, maybe we should bar sports from college. Colleges in India don’t have intercollegiate sports and they seem to do fine. Just a thought

  @drgnslayr I love those types of tools. It shows the level of sophistication that NBA scouting reports go to. As you pointed out with McMorris, teams see that he works the left side, primarily on pick and pop and the extended low post. Doesn’t do a lot of work around the high post, which means that he is either always rolling to the baseline (possibly by design) or he is more comfortable attacking the rim than shooting from the high post. That information is hugely valuable when preparing a report on how to defend a player.

  I’m not trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. I just thought it was interesting how he worded it and he definitely is aware of the media-sensation Wiggins on board. It just seems he could have parsed his words differently. I agree with @Crimsonorblue22 … Self would have mentioned others, too. I recall he sung high praise for Jabari during the draft interviews. I was just digging and trying to find something to chat about. I don’t think we are playing Duke in the preseason this year. Too bad. I thought our game with Duke this past year was one of our more-entertaining games and it was one of our better played games. It would be nice to see our star recruits against theirs again. I would think this time Perry would stand out more as the guy with experience and talent.

  @approxinfinity I still have the same problems; I know there are many posts after the last one showing. I can see one I posted if I go to my own page but on the thread page it does not display, only the “loading more posts” message with the spinning arrows which appears to indicate is trying to load more posts but it cannot find them; likely a corrupted pointer/index for that thread in the database. Also, there have been almost no posts in the last day, which is highly unusual. Maybe some member cannot even get into the site??? On the other hand, if the board is that slow, maybe this could be a good time for the update. Thanks for all the work you do.

  @jaybate 1.0 Perfect take on Donovan and Pitino. I was down on Donovan until he showed he could duplicate a top 10 team with more than 1 set of guys. Agree on the whole Norm Roberts point. Roberts is about to prove that solid, meticulous professionalism as a position coach (bigs) can still create ‘billselfBigs’ in this post-Danny era. It must also be recanted that Bill Self was producing billselfBigs before Danny ever arrived at KU. Self devised his post-play system long before Danny, and then married that need to recruiting a certain ‘type’ of bigman (versatile, athletic). So, your thoughts on Brad Stevens and Gillispie?
