Lamar out on their game Tuesday smh.

Steelers schedule is a joke

Dec 07, 2020 04:02 AM #2

Come on chiefs! Put em away!

Dec 07, 2020 04:04 AM #3

Go clock! Hang on to the ball!

Dec 07, 2020 04:16 AM #4

Jones could've broke his arm

Dec 07, 2020 04:16 AM #5

This post aged quite well.

Chiefs still technically 2nd place.

Alex Smith is forever a Chief in my book. Never will I have ever wished so much success on a former Chiefs player. Hope he “retires” a Chief.

Dec 08, 2020 01:41 AM #9

Also the Steelers are frauds. Confident they drop at least another game

Dec 08, 2020 01:48 AM #10

Tried to add a pic of Alex coming home from the hospital. He had a Danny and the miracles T-shirt!😘🏆👊

This season has been strange in the sense that Chiefs seems to be dominating every game but somehow can’t put away the opponents.

Dec 14, 2020 12:12 PM #12

@AsadZ it isn’t strange.

This is the Andy Reid trademark and what got him fired in Philly. Absolutely abysmal in the fourth quarter game management skills.

He should learn that all he needs to do with this team is just keep scoring. Foot only comes off the gas if Chad Henne is in the game.

Dec 14, 2020 02:09 PM #13

@Kcmatt7 Zackly - if it ain't broke - don't fix it.

Dec 14, 2020 03:15 PM #14

Would it be weird to sing this song about Mahomes? Asking for a friend.

At this point it just is what Andy is. Great coach with one big flaw. He didn't have a QB like Pat until now though. I think Andy would have ended up in the HOF anyway but he is an absolute lock if he coaches Pat the entirety of his career.

k

Dec 14, 2020 04:38 PM #17

@BShark he’s pretty perfect!

Dec 14, 2020 04:46 PM #18

@BShark Andy was a HOF coach even without Pat imo. He has a level of sustained success that is 100% HOF worthy.

But yea he is Andy. He isn't changing. Just have to hope that we don't get our hearts ripped out one of these games.

Dec 14, 2020 05:01 PM #19

Pat is going to absolutely obliterate passing records. But he probably won't win six rings so you'll always have those "Brady was the Goat" guys even though Pat is far and away, clearly, not even close, the better player.

The only way to beat Pat is to outscore him. That is it. If you are banking on throwing him off his game, you already lost. When playing the Chiefs - punting is a turnover. There is no "field position battle" against the Chiefs. There is no "if you can do this, Pat will struggle." The dude had one of the worst games we've ever seen from him and he still had a 70% completion rating, threw for 393 yards, 2 TDs and his season high 11.56 yards per attempt while his offense put up 26 points.

Every now and then, I have a debate with my friends about when they would turn off the TV if our favorite team is behind, whether its KU, the Royals, the Chiefs, etc.

2015 Royals - when the other team squeezes the last out.

2019 Royals - down 2 or more after the 6th inning.

2016-17 KU Basketball - down 12 or more with less than 3 minutes to go.

2019-20 KU Basketball - down 7 or more with less than 3 minutes to go.

The differences, of course, depend on the style of the teams. Yeah, the 2019-20 KU team was the favorite to win the title, but they weren't built to score points in bunches very quickly.

All that to say when we discussed the Mahomes Chiefs, we settled on down 20 with less than 6 minutes to go, and the other team has the ball, with the Chiefs having only one timeout left. We argued about it quite a bit. It was a fun debate. But given what Mahomes has done and how quickly this team can score, anything less than three scores just isn't that scary.

Two TDs down? Chiefs can tie that game in less than five minutes.

Down 24 after a quarter? No sweat, they can hang a 50 spot.

Need a TD with less than 2 minutes left? Mahomes and Co. only needed 75 seconds against the Raiders.

Being behind is more of an inconvenience than an actual threat.

And for the record, even if Mahomes and Co. were down by 20 with 5:30 on the clock, I'm still not sure I'm turning off the TV, just in case.

Dec 14, 2020 10:00 PM #21

The Offensive line play this year is also hurting the Chiefs.

Dec 14, 2020 11:51 PM #22

@AsadZ if they even could just get back Osemele to be able to run behind in 3rd and short this team would be that much better.

I’m actually a bit surprised we haven’t made a roster move to at least see if we could at least bring in a guard who can run block.

Ditto... But I don't even know what EPA is or how it is measured. Still, I know a huge discrepancy when I see one (and what "Holy shit" means!)

Sweet pass and catch

Dec 21, 2020 12:20 AM #26

Dec 21, 2020 12:45 AM #27

Mahomes is getting hit after hit

Here we go

Dec 21, 2020 12:52 AM #28

@AsadZ we won! Hope Clyde the glyde is ok!

Dec 21, 2020 12:53 AM #29

Funny Drew's kids want all those chiefs jerseys!🤣

Dec 21, 2020 03:28 AM #30

@Crimsonorblue22 X-rays today on leg and hip were negative, but they will reevaluate tomorrow. I would guess an MRI for possible soft-tissue damage. 🤞

Dec 21, 2020 04:18 AM #31

@mayjay didn’t look good! Thx

Dec 21, 2020 01:22 PM #32

Every time Robinson runs backwards with a ball in one hand I cringe.

Dec 21, 2020 01:22 PM #33

Hopefully CEH is back by the playoffs or sooner.

If it's a high ankle sprain as reported then maybe back for the first playoff game.

Dec 21, 2020 03:18 PM #35

@BShark I heard it’s both, ankle and hip/leg. Bent him back. It was awkward looking for sure🤬 hope to find out better news today.

Seems like the staff thinks he can be back for the playoffs. Getting the bye would help.

Dec 21, 2020 05:12 PM #37

@BShark couldn't tell if they've done a mri

Dec 21, 2020 09:10 PM #38

Here is my wish for 2021 draft:

  1. OL

  2. OL

  3. LB

  4. WR

  5. DE/DT

  6. CB or TE (higher talent)

  7. OL

Dec 27, 2020 10:18 PM #42

I’m still wondering and SMH as to how did Chiefs got a W today.

Dec 27, 2020 11:25 PM #43

@AsadZ good enough🙏😳

Dec 27, 2020 11:26 PM #44

Nice accolades and new records for Kelce!

Dec 27, 2020 11:26 PM #45

Time to heal some guys

Dec 28, 2020 02:08 PM #46

The Defense played solid considering that all 3 starting LBs were out, pass rush was effective.

Red zone Offense is still a bit concerning, too many trick plays.

Dec 28, 2020 03:19 PM #47

@AsadZ I think Reid may be using a couple of these games to throw out some new plays and odd formations to give other teams more crap to try to prepare for in the playoffs.

Dec 28, 2020 04:48 PM #48

@justanotherfan The Chiefs have proved that they can score a lot of points at the end of the game. I would prefer they get off their asses and try doing it in the beginning and middle as well. They have looked completely out of sync the past few game and IF - big flippin if - they get to the Super Bowl, I believe they will be humiliated.

I'm not a hater. I LOVE the Chiefs. I have for well over 50 years. But I'm seriously not happy with their "squeak past the opponent by the skin of your teeth" style of play lately.

Dec 29, 2020 01:45 AM #49

@mayjay Yeah, I doubt we'll see the fourth and one, triple fake reverse, pitch back to Sammy Watkins throwing to Mahomes on the post route again. By golly it almost worked though.
