Thank you. I had a good day yesterday. Obviously difficult given what happened this year. Spent it back with my mom and my now one brother so just the three of us for this now. There is a lot more family in Michigan but with my mom turning 70 this year that travel is rather unappealing.

The portal has been a positive this time I'd say. Two very good players and there is still a chance with JD. His wrist/hand injury was really unfortunate as I felt he was coming along a bit.

@approxinfinity Tre White was someone KU recruited out of high school and I believe committed to KU at one point before going his odyssey. With Council, KU was initially looking at a different player at St. Bonnie's, but ended up loving Council more.
Correct he committed to KU very early on in high school and it didn't stick.
The staff received a recommendation on Lajae Jones (ended up at FSU, KU passed) and Council really stood out when they watched. I do actually know the guy that passed along with Lajae rec, not sure if I'd say friend but we are cordial with each other.
Where I'm at at this point in the season assuming we can get everyone healthy...
Starters: DP/Mel/Tre/Tiller/Flo
Rotation: JD/Kohl/Jamari
Everyone else is emergency only.

They missed a couple earlier that were just insane. One where Tiller got hammered and another where Jamari was discarded to the ground.

Players who showed out today: Flory (duh), Tiller, except he needs to stop shooting 3's even if the announcers try telling us he's good at shooting it from out there. Tre White is surprising me with his toughness. Council has some surprising athleticism. Even the underachieving 11 and 13 guys played decently I thought and made a 3 a piece and played some nice defense at times.
ND should have stopped shooting 3's. They weren't even close on most of those. They weren't a very good looking team to be honest, but it's always good to beat Notre Dame in any sport.
Bill Self toughening box! Tre has been something else since the UNC game where he played pretty soft.

Yeah I complain about Jamari and Elmarko but they have to play in these games. Bench gave us next to nothing. Didn't help that Dawson got hurt. Syracuse without their best player is a must win.

My mom turns 70 next month. I am taking her out for a nice dinner to her favorite restaurant.
As long as DP comes back healthy we may look back at this stretch as critical. Tre and Tiller have really come along and Melvin had to learn and grow being the primary handler.
