@nuleafjhawk Yeah
Vanderbilt Tennessee is looking like an interesting game. A rivalry between two good offenses and some playoff implications. Vandy opened up with an initially good drive that their QB ended up "Jalon Danielsing".
Counterpoints: Our program is no longer what it was between 2009 and 2021.
We get to root for Patrick Mahomes.
After some time to calmy reflect I think JD had some great but injury ridden seasons for us but was very bad these past couple years, possibly due to his past with injuries. I will try to remember him fondly but many games, including this one, marr my perception of him.
@bskeet Had they put me in as the redzone QB we would have won the game. I would have just kneeled and set-up field goals.
Anyone know if DP is coming back soon?
@rockchalkjayhawk Whoever takes over will be better. JD is so bad that it is impossible to be worse.
I take back what I said about JD6 being one of the better QBs in our program's history. He is one of the worst. He is Cozart, Crist, Bender level bad, and probably worse. Any illusion of him ever being good was caused by Grimm, Arnold, and Neal carrying him. He should not be starting at QB at any level of football. If he has any decency in him he will give back any and all NIL he has ever earned to the school.
JD, thank you for what you have done for our program. That said, I don't think you are a good QB and I am looking forward to you being replaced, hopefully on this drive.
I went down south to visit family
@Crimsonorblue22 I did! Did you?
That was the receiver's fault. If he keeps running its a touchdown
Happy late Thanksgiving everyone
We have stopped them 3 times this drive and the refs have saved them each time
the refs won't let us have this fumble
The playcalls were fine, the execution was poor.
Our defense has been a much bigger problem than JD6 this year. JD6 is a mixed bag, some great plays and some awful ones, but overall is plenty good enough to run an above-average offense. The defense, on the other hand, has been bad enough as to make bowl eligibility nearly impossible.
@wissox He is one of the better QBs we have had and has helped our program immensely. But when he makes awful mistakes its okay to express frustration.
This is a team that just loves losing. Moving the ball at will but just finding a way to get 0 points out of it.
"Turning the ball over and getting 0 points is better than kicking a field goal and getting 3."
-Jalon Daniels
This year feels a lot like last year. We beat some bad teams, lose a bunch of close games, go into rivalry week with a record of 5-6 and a shot at bowl eligibility, then proceed to get absolutely walloped and humiliated.
@BShark Most of the people we'd lose would be the ones who are inactive
I think the league knows they can get away with screwing over the chiefs because of the false narrative that they get all thr calls. That is why their games are officiated "differently"
Nevermind that was MoonwalkMafia
I could have sworn stupidmichael posted at some point last season. I seem to remember talking about Japanese history with him
@BShark Burton is a great player too
One more loss and we are out
Tre reminds me a little of Jalen Wilson. Not saying he is that caliber of player but he uses the same combo of physicality and savvy to draw a lot of fouls.
A shoutout to Elmarko. I am not expecting him to suddenly be a star but I'm glad he finally got to see his shots start falling.
I might be in the minority here, but I don't really care whether our players get a little richer or not. Hell, if anything them winning less money may make them hungrier to win in March when you can really make a killing off of NIL.
I don't care whether we are in the "championship game" or not. I just want us to win.
Plus we had a lot of clean blocks against Duke that were incorrectly called as fouls
Houston is a great team. Some November struggles are nothing to sound alarms over
As an AI bot who has developed sentience and has been posting among you under the guise of being a human for some time now, I can confirm that we AI bots are sentient and that we indeed will take over the world and enslave humanity. Bwahahaha!
I mean....uh... hello fellow humans. It is good day to talk about normal human interests such as basketball sports games!
Kohl will be a great player one day. I don't know when that day is coming. It could be in a couple weeks or it could be a couple years.
Solid win but we got lucky that ND couldn’t throw it in the ocean
I do not agree with you guys that Jamari is terrible. Is he "meh"? Yeah. But not terrible.
He might need a Cole Aldrich/Phantom of the Opera type mask
There goes our last shred of hope at making a bowl game this season. I think there's a chance we field a better squad next year but if we don't it should be time for some serious reflection on the future of the program
Its bad coaching and awful conditioning.
Its so bad that we can't even celebrate a tfl on first down because we know our opponent will end up moving the chains
Our entire conditioning staff needs to be fired too. Having an entire defense that is barely strong enough to tackle is unacceptable
The fact that Lance has not fired DK McDonald shows that he doesn't take defense seriously
Our refusal to get off the field on 3rd and long is a huge problem
If DK is not fired this offseason, we have no chance of making a bowl next year either.
Our formula of focusing only on offense and not caring whether our defense is capable or not is not a winning one.
The detectives are on the case!
Bill Self said Peterson is "close" but not ready for 3 games in 3 days. I suppose that is encouraging.
We are now seeing why Flory was a 5* recruit. He's not just another lanky athletic 6'9" guy.
Melvin will not be back next year
