Not very many competitive games today, but the FS1 6pmC UNLV v. Houston-3.5 at least lets us see our Week 3 opponent. And the ABC 6:30C TxAm-3 v. Notre Dame should be fun.

Aug 31, 2024 09:59 PM #2

Watched the Penn St & WV though it might be a good one --- not so much 34-12 Penn St , the Wv people were all sayig they had to have this game today. I think WV gonna be good but nothing today, the Announcers were talking about the one thing Penn St had done was , shut Greene down, and they did do that

Aug 31, 2024 11:10 PM #3

Wow, Houston has 63 new players this year. Houston doesn't look good so far against UNLV. Or UNLV is good.

Sep 01, 2024 12:15 AM #4

@stoptheflop That was our bowl game opponent last year so they aren't bad and UH was projected finish at the bottom of the B12 this year so not really a surprise today.

Sep 01, 2024 12:48 AM #5

Watching a little bit of KSU Johnson kid doesn’t quite look like the god the have been selling him as that’s forsure

Colorado won one game before Deion arrived. He hasn’t hurt that program one bit. They would be getting zero attention and recruits without Deion. Not saying I approve of his style, but Colorado sucks at sports.

The things this idiot does is un acceptable , , the way he handles his team , the things being reported
that's going on in the locker room reported from past players, -Him banning a reporter because he wouldn't kiss his ass, that were legit questions He came in thought he would just rule College football with Portal players and like 65 player turn over his first year - - what hapened? -- led the Nation by far in getting his Quarterback Sacked FIFTY ONE TIMES - - -FIFTY ONE -- - OOOPS. - - -- -so what's he do? -- goes and and pulss the same crap this year, not very impressive win this wek by far. -- Sanders is Coaching off his Name - - -NOT

Sanders is Coaching off his name- - NOT his his coaching ability or reputation.. The things that has happened since he has been there is un-acceptable. The things being reported that haas taken place in the locker room from former players , thought he was slick from banning a reporter because the reporter wouldn't kiss his ass and Sandes refuses him in because he was asking legit questions.

Sands thought he was going to be cute , came in his first year and had a SIXTY PLUS turnover roster, most through the portal -- thought instant winner, what happens ?- -Colorado led the nation in having their QB sacked - -FIFTY ONE TIMES - FIFTY ONE1! ! ! , SO he promptly goes out and does the same thing this year. Not a very impressive win against someone they should have rolled.

To say Colorado sucks at sports is not necessarily true either. Coach Boyle always seems to have a very solid Basketball team , far from sucks, and I can remember not THAT LONG in the recent past where their foot ball team would most the time and kick our ass right behind Nebraska & Oklahoma taking their turns on a yearly bases - -they might not be great but they don't suck
He has player taking cheap shots on opposing players that even Colorado fans are saying is not right - - -hitting players way afterwards they are out of bounds and hitting he fences - -( Travis Hunter ) to be specific - -what's Sanders do ? - --Nothing. He should at least talk to Hunter and say that's not how we play here. The good thing is that the word is that he is probably gone just aftr his son Graduates , so at least that will be a bonus

Like KState, I halfway root for Colo because they are now B12, but I also don't mind when the media intensive coaches/players get put in their place. With KState, I mostly root for them to win, but I don't mind if they get their ass kicked either.

Brian Kelly regime causing some angst in Baton Rouge. I know the dad of the kid who committed the flagrant which helped USC get much closer to winning that game. Always a reminder to Me when I rip on a college kid that he’s someone’s son and it must hurt like heck to see your kid being criticized with many choice words that we fans are known to use sometimes.

Sep 03, 2024 01:59 AM #22

@wissox Any day a Brian Kelly coached team loses is a great day.

@BeddieKU23 Tough look for FSU to start the season...

Sep 03, 2024 01:49 PM #23

@wissox I agree to an extend but that was on of the stupidest things I’ve seen on a football field in a long time. Why would you think that would be okay? Some of the blame maybe goes to poor parenting and his dad that you know.

Edit: I also don’t like the term kid to describe college athletics these days. They are getting paid to be there, it is a job in a lot of ways, it wouldn’t be okay to do that in the McDonald’s drive thru to a customer either. It’s men’s athletics not boys or kids. By the time I was the age of majority of these ā€œkidsā€ I was living on my own, working and being adult.

Sep 03, 2024 04:13 PM #24

@kjayhawks Never said it was ok, and I agree it was a stupid thing to do but it personalizes it a bit when you have a relationship (in this case nothing more than a social media relationship now).

We are officially back to the Willie Taggert days. Who woulda thought one decision by ESPN could crumble such a promising uprising. Oh well, I have basketball season upcoming to look forward to.

Sep 03, 2024 07:10 PM #26

I learned this in anatomy class in college. Just because you're an adult at 18 doesn't mean you always make great decisions. Think about most college kids. "This is because the brain's frontal lobe, especially the prefrontal cortex, isn't fully mature until around age 25. The development of the pre-frontal cortex of the frontal lobe allows us to process the pros and cons of a decision before it is made."

Sep 03, 2024 07:31 PM #30

I don't think you have to, but I won't expose others. I wore my mask to clinic. We had a secretary come back to school on her second day. She just wore a mask. I'd be in the classroom, which is probably where I got it or at the Drs office on Fri.

Sep 04, 2024 12:18 PM #31

When I had Covid a couple years ago I went on Paxlovid immediately. Think it really helped. Had bad fatigue and headache for a day, then several days of sinus drainage and that was it. My age and other factors made me a prime candidate for severe disease so I’m a big fan of this drug. There’s lots of misinformation circulating about Paxlovid (causes rebounds, only for people with severe disease), none of it true.

Sep 04, 2024 04:02 PM #32

@wissox I didn’t think you thought it was okay but rather why he would think it’s okay. @Crimsonorblue22 thats definitely true but by the time you hit middle school you should have a fairly good gauge between right and wrong. We have to hold people accountable for their actions, it’s something lost right in not only youth but in general. I’ll stand by my statement that pretending to shoot opposing players is one of the stupidest things I’ve seen on the football field.

Sep 04, 2024 09:29 PM #33

@kjayhawks When the play happened I was distracted and someone said Jardin got hit with a targeting. I saw your "stupidest thing I've seen....." comment I went back and watched it. It looked like an average run of the mill stupid play, unless you were just referring to the timing of it essentially giving the game to USC.

Sep 04, 2024 11:16 PM #34

@wissox maybe that’s just me I can handle a taunting call but with gun violence the way it nowadays and with the timing of it (any taunting penalty at that time wouldn’t be very intelligent). Yep it’s the stupidest thing I’ve seen in a football game and I’ve been watching for 30 years. If you do that in highschool you’re likely done for the season.

Sep 07, 2024 05:12 PM #38

KSU does not trust Johnson to throw it down field. Twice they’ve ran 3rd and long.

Tulane is leaving the door open for KSt. Or KSt finally has its defense playing

Sep 07, 2024 06:26 PM #43

@Kcmatt7 I'm pretty sure Avery Johnson was the inspiration for the Raggedy Ann doll

Sep 07, 2024 06:49 PM #44

Tulane giving it away with silly penalties and now a fumble return for a TD deep in KSU territory. Maybe the play that saved the Mildcats.

Sep 07, 2024 06:49 PM #45

Tulane beating themselves… wow

Sep 07, 2024 06:52 PM #46

Probably better for the conference for OSU and KSU to win today in the long haul.

Sep 07, 2024 07:01 PM #47

KSU gets away with an obvious PI and gets the ball back to likely run out the clock smh

Sep 07, 2024 07:21 PM #48

Refs ain’t gonna let the Mildcats lose sad when even the announcers are calling them out

Sep 07, 2024 07:24 PM #49

Tulane got the hose job. But they blew the game on their own. Fumble recovery for a TD flipped the whole script and so they can really only blame themselves.

Sep 07, 2024 07:25 PM #50

One takeaway is that this KSU staff knows Avery Johnson cannot throw a football.

Sep 07, 2024 07:34 PM #51

@Kcmatt7 for sure, cut down on the penalties and turnovers and they likely win by double digits. But yes that was the big change at half time for KSU, blitz like crazy so their QB can’t pick you apart and run the heck of of the ball. Think Avery was 9/15 for 88 yards in the first half.

Sep 07, 2024 07:35 PM #52

Wow OSU and Arkansas both miss FGs in OT

Sep 07, 2024 08:02 PM #53

I wasn't paying attention to BYU last night. Wasn't SMU heavily favored?

Sep 07, 2024 08:07 PM #54

@stoptheflop Yes they were -12.5 last I saw, that was a solid win for the conference. Cincinnati gave one away today.

Sep 07, 2024 08:19 PM #55

As much as we all dislike KSU, in the long run, this was a win that'll benefit the entire conference. Tulane was/is a threat to get to G5 playoff spot so a road win from one of our conference contenders helps the B12's overall profile and possibility of getting a second team in the playoffs. Same deal with OSU over Arkansas, these are types of wins the B12 needs. BYU last night was big because SMU was a dark horse ACC contender. It'd also be really nice if ISU could pull the upset today.

Sep 07, 2024 08:46 PM #56

@Kcmatt7 said in Other Football Games of Interest:

Yep. Elite run game will win them some games but they are not a national championship contender.

Sep 07, 2024 08:46 PM #57

Tulane got majorly screwed

Sep 07, 2024 09:09 PM #58

Still undecided on who to root for in Colo at Neb. I still hate the Big Red, so I guess it will be Colo. Meh

Sep 07, 2024 10:39 PM #59

@BShark I think the KSU staff had to decide between giving Avery the bag or Howard. I get the decision. They are a much better team with Howard though.

I thought the same last season tbh.

Sep 07, 2024 10:44 PM #60

Wow, ISt was behind the entire game until the last play. I guess they had a plan and won the game.

Sep 07, 2024 11:53 PM #61

@stoptheflop that was another solid win for he conference. Does Campbell finally do something with one of the most experienced teams in CFB. I feel like he’s been severely overrated there.

Sep 08, 2024 01:55 AM #62

@kjayhawks he’s got his QB. Definitely a sleeper in the B12

Sep 08, 2024 01:55 AM #63

I would have let Trevor have a shot to return that one

Sep 08, 2024 02:03 AM #64

Last play sums the game up.

Afraid we may be in for a disappointing season. This is the downside to having expectations

Sep 08, 2024 02:32 AM #65

Sep 09, 2024 06:00 PM #69

I tried to poor cold water on those expectations during the offseason. KU football is always going to be KU football. Every once in a blue moon they will be respectable, the rest of the time they will absolutely suck. Hopefully this is a second respectable season in a row. They won’t sniff a bowl game of significance, but might get to play in December none the less. That is a historically good year for KU - also known as a dumpster fire of a football program.

Oct 05, 2024 11:01 PM #105

Vandy now up 12 with about 5 minutes left on #1 Alabama.

Oct 05, 2024 11:21 PM #106

Many people are saying Vanderbilt is the best team in the SEC

Oct 05, 2024 11:26 PM #107

Now its our turn.

Oct 06, 2024 02:35 AM #108

Washington over #10 Michigan in Seattle and Minnesota over #11 USC in Minneapolis.

Oct 06, 2024 02:36 AM #109

Vandy's students marched the goal post down Broadway in Nashville before dumping it in the Cumberland.

Oct 06, 2024 03:59 AM #110

Anyone have any idea as to how in the actual F*** USC is ranked in the top 11? I’ve never been sold on Riley in the slightest, he’s one of those guys that started coaching on third base but hasn’t proven he can even make contact with the ball.

Oct 06, 2024 04:21 AM #111

It really is Blood Saturday. Miami flat getting whipped at Historic Atlantic Coast Conference rival… Cal Berkeley?

Oct 06, 2024 04:46 AM #112

@FarmerJayhawk has the look of the 2007 with crazy upset after upset.

Oct 06, 2024 06:12 PM #113

Looks like our loss against WV isn't as bad as first thought after how they destroyed OSU at OSU

Oct 08, 2024 03:01 AM #114

@jayballer67 TCU is really the only bad loss we have, I think every team we have played has a good shot at a bowl game. UNLV, WV and Illinois are all much better than predicted. The trouble is we are going to likely end up playing 4 ranked teams in our final 6 games. Needing to win 5 of those. It’s all about getting reset here during the off week and starting a new season against Houston.

Oct 12, 2024 04:07 AM #115

The more I watch this league the more I’m confused about who’s any good. ASU currently beating Utah

Oct 12, 2024 04:21 AM #116

Wow, they just said the top 8 in the Big 12 preseason poll are under .500 in league play by a lot. I missed the actual number oops

Oct 12, 2024 03:04 PM #117

You know, I'm so confused. I really am beginning to believe that these losses we have just might not be as bad/frustrating sa I thought. I mean sure it sucks with the Schedule w have - --but again on the other hand maybe our schedule isn't that easy after all the way it's playing out. -- - WV destroying OSU- - -Arizona St beating Utah with rising playing. - --UNLV continuing to win

We have been in all these games-- most of leading in the 4th quarter -- -makes it even a harder pill to swallow I'' say this again I picked KSU to win the league and still think they will- -yet someone has to beat BYU, I think ISU still has some tough games to go

Oct 12, 2024 03:14 PM #118

Iirc the year Mangino took us bowling our schedule was soft. Curious if that team does any better with this schedule

Oct 12, 2024 03:57 PM #119

@approxinfinity this schedule as I said above is looking much tougher than originally thought. Sadly if we could finish games, we are ranked in the top 10 right now.

Oct 12, 2024 06:57 PM #120

@kjayhawks We DO finish games! Poorly....

Probably not going to get any easier next year?

The more I watch this league the more I’m confused about who’s any good. ASU currently beating Utah

The margin for error being so thin makes it even more amazing KU is somehow 1-5.

There is a parallel universe where this team is undefeated going into Manhattan and college game day/big noon is there.

Oct 13, 2024 12:30 AM #123

Penn State converted a 4th and 7 and a 4th and 10 when they were down 7 in the 4th and tied it up with a TD, then the defense held and they won in OT.

Oct 13, 2024 12:36 AM #124

Further confusing me about how good or bad we are. KU narrowly loses to Illinois. Wisconsin (not very good this year and with a back up QB) destroys Purdue, probably worst team in BIG, last week. Purdue narrowly loses to Illinois today in OT. KU is really better than their crazy bad record looks.

Oct 20, 2024 02:19 AM #125

Let’s go Houston

Nov 02, 2024 11:14 PM #131

We need to hire Willie Fritz he beat KSU in methattan as Tulane’s head coach a few years ago. He's a good coach Houston seems to be improving every week at this point.

And KU beat the shit out of Fritz 2 weeks ago.

Nov 02, 2024 11:38 PM #133

And weather was a very big factor today in that game.

Nov 03, 2024 12:02 AM #134

@Texas-Hawk-10 true but if Fritz is coaching the hawks this season we ain’t lost yet.

Nov 03, 2024 12:08 AM #135

Oh it's been a great day -- -A GREAT DAY- - First Iowa St gets knocked off their all mighty horse-- -that was Awesome, - -Then K/Sucks get's beat by Houston - - -HOUSTON ! !

Just goes to show how this football Season has worked out. You know Ku could be just a easily 6 -- 2 instead of 2 - -- 6.-We have lost FOUR GAMES by a combined total of THIRTHTEEN POINTS-- THIRTHTEEN ! ! AND in those we have led in the FOURTH QTR, where as KSU could be just as easily be five & Four instead of Seven & two- they have won TWO of their games by a total of FIVE POINTS -Colorado-- 31-28- - - & KU - -29-27,- -so if I was one of their fans I wouldn't be squealing to loud- -They have been playing with fire and it finally caught them today, This is the same Houston team we boat race 42- -14. - -just a few breaks here , a few breaks there, and our Season would be much better BUT that's football fella's

I doubt that

@Texas-Hawk-10 Fritz is taking a team much less talented than ours and will end up winning more games in not only the conference but overall. Fritz> Leipold

@kjayhawks said in Other Football Games of Interest:

Cool story bro! Let me know when UH plays a tougher non-conference and conference schedule than KU, then that argument would have some merit. Right now, it's just you grasping at straws to find something to complain about.

Nov 03, 2024 03:25 PM #139

@Texas-Hawk-10 Guess I’m not seeing anything that makes me think their non conference schedule was that easy. We both played UNLV and lost. They played OU on the road, lost we played Illinois on the road and lost. They don’t play an FCS team like we did in Lindenwood but played rice and won. They also beat both TCU and KSU, they seem to improve everytime they get on the field unlike us. Please expand on how much easier their non conference was than ours because it makes no logical sense looking at them. They also have several common opponents in conference and have beaten teams we lost to with less talent. Sounds like superior coaching to most logical folks. I would agree theirs is slightly easier. Fritz is winning more games with less talent that is a fact not an opinion buddy.

Nov 04, 2024 06:15 PM #140

@kjayhawks It's an age old debate. Can coaching prevent kids from losing their heads like we did against UNLV and try to pick up a fumble and run with it instead of just fall on it? Can coaching prevent Skinner (?) from dropping a wide open TD pass at Kstate? Can coaching prevent the kick returner from catching a KO at the 1/2 yard line and stepping out of bounds? Can coaching prevent refs from botching some calls against TCU?

On the other hand people would say great coaching will prevent Jaylon from making that bad throw at U of I at the end of the half. Great coaching will prevent the 4th quarter meltdowns. Great coaching will prevent the insane play calling we've all complained about from Grimes.

I really kind of think both can be blamed. Not sure the Houston coach whom we've waxed two years straight now can deliver us to undefeated land, especially when what you claim and the reality is a difference of 6 games.

Nov 05, 2024 12:20 AM #141

@wissox Fritz is in his first year at Houston and is a proven winner at this level. I think he has proven he is a better coach than Leipold has been this season. You don’t have to think the same but have players not know wtf they are doing on kickoffs 8 weeks in is a direct reflection of coaching. I’m still waiting from the response from @Texas-Hawk-10 as to how Houston non conference schedule is so much easier than ours other than he was too lazy to look it up.

Nov 05, 2024 11:43 PM #142

@kjayhawks "Fritz is in his first year at Houston". Don't let the facts ruin my narrative! It looks a lot like you don't let facts ruin your narratives when you say he's a better coach than Leipold when that's the one team we've had our way with. I look at their schedule. Still not sure how you look at that and say better than leipold, especially when you have two bowl appearances in the last two seasons.

Nov 06, 2024 02:21 AM #143

@wissox I love farting around debating @Texas-Hawk-10 is one of my favorites will go back and forth for and I’m always laughing by the end like I tell everyone it’s just a chat room.

Wow Ole Miss thumping #3 Georgia. And #4 Miami lost.

Nov 10, 2024 01:34 PM #148

@Crimsonorblue22 When I see BYU 38-9 of KSU I get a bit, a lot skeptical even, that we will be successful against them.

Nov 10, 2024 03:31 PM #149

@wissox our team is full of surprises

Nov 10, 2024 04:59 PM #150

I haven’t been impressed with BYU personally and both them and us have a lot of the same team from a year ago. It will be a battle on the road but I think we are a better team. It just depends if we play like it

@wissox said in Other Football Games of Interest:

BYU only had 241 yards of offense that game. KSU just played like pure trash that game. 3 turnovers, including a BYU fumble return for a TD, and KSU gave up a punt return.

BYU is a good team, but they are beatable and have played some bad teams closely. BYU has essentially been what many thought KU would be this season.

Nov 10, 2024 07:29 PM #152

@Texas-Hawk-10 I was telling friends this past week, that I was booking KU would beat Iowa St. -I'm calling this game also maybe not quite as confident but just feeling like we can for sure play with these guys.

If we can play wit and basically control 3/4 of the game against ISU defense which was suppose to be so rugged and w were getting many, many chunk yardage run & pass - I'm fully confident in this game - -this is not the team of a month a go.

Stats point this out , we have lost five games by six or less-- - -most in the nation we could very easily be 7-2 as well as 3-6 -Losing to K/State by two where we outplayed them, even K Stater's sayin wee should of beat them these last wo years -- Beating Iowa St the way we did. I think the guys mo jo is on a different level- -I'm saying were going to take down BYU

Nov 17, 2024 01:51 AM #153

Nov 17, 2024 02:41 AM #154

Nov 17, 2024 02:42 AM #155

@BShark I spoke too soon, ASU trying their damnest to give this away.

Nov 17, 2024 02:49 AM #156

Huge penalty

Nov 17, 2024 02:54 AM #157

Of course KSU can snap the ball perfectly on 51 yarder against us but miss a 36 yarder here smh

Nov 17, 2024 02:56 AM #158

LOVE IT!

Nov 17, 2024 02:57 AM #159

@BShark terrible time management by them as well let 30 seconds run off waiting on a defensive sub

Nov 24, 2024 02:12 AM #162

Bama oh no

Nov 24, 2024 02:25 AM #163

@FarmerJayhawk Monroe 3/10 78 yards 2 INTs one was a house call

Nov 24, 2024 03:09 AM #164

Things could get really weird for the Big 12 in bowl season. There very possibly aren’t enough bowl tie ins for all the potential 6 win teams. It’s an artifact of the former PAC schools playing in PAC bowls. There are 12 Big 12 teams who can get to 6 wins. The Big 12 has up to 8 bowl tie-ins and the PAC has 6. USC and UCLA can get bowl eligible, Wazzu already is, Oregon State could as well. Might be a giant train wreck.

Nov 24, 2024 03:58 AM #165

@FarmerJayhawk it’s sounds a little worrisome if we are fortunate enough to win next week. How crazy would a KU-Nebraska or KU-OU bowl game be? I don’t wanna put the carriage before the horse tho. Full focus forward to next week for this team.

Nov 24, 2024 04:22 AM #166

@kjayhawks man I’d LOVE to play Nubs again

Nov 24, 2024 04:38 AM #167

Imagine not liking this dumb sport. Absolute CARNAGE in the SEC

Nov 25, 2024 03:54 AM #168

What do yall think of 7 time national champion Oklahoma rushing the field after becoming bowl eligible? Are they the new Nebraska?

Nov 25, 2024 04:26 AM #169

@kjayhawks Nubs South. If you’re a real elite program you never rush the court/field

Nov 29, 2024 05:00 PM #170

Boy, OkState's fall from grace/competence is something to behold. They look awful against Colo right now. From league favorite to cellar. Just Wow.

Tulane losing to Memphis yesterday was big for the Big 12 because that pretty much eliminates any chance of the B12 champs missing the playoffs.

The other favorite to win the Big 12 is currently 1-7 in conference play too. It's crazy how inverted the standings are compared to the preseason expectations.

Nov 30, 2024 08:09 PM #174

Nov 30, 2024 09:09 PM #175

See the fight/flag planting try after game?

Dec 01, 2024 02:51 AM #176

@Crimsonorblue22 That was pretty interesting to say the least. Wonder if criminal charges will be filed, OSU had several staff members heavily involved, throwing punches and being bloodied themselves.

Dec 01, 2024 03:31 AM #177

Security spraying pepper spray Another team, also tried to plant a flag? Forgot who. Better start fining them! nc state and unc had the same thing.

Dec 01, 2024 04:46 AM #178

So with Texas clinching a spot in the SEC title game, is it safe to say maybe that conference isn’t as far ahead as the talking heads claim? Talking about a program that had won a single conference title in the B12 in the last 14 years.

Dec 01, 2024 01:14 PM #179

@Crimsonorblue22 It was Michigan that wanted to plant their flag in the middle of the O at mid field at Ohio State. Had quite the rumble for a little bit

Dec 08, 2024 04:35 AM #180

What a championship Saturday. It’s really funny Boise and Arizona St will likely get byes

Dec 08, 2024 04:54 AM #181

@FarmerJayhawk it will be interesting at this point to see what happens. I dislike how much hype Boise and Jeanty are getting. Sorry Jeanty who will likely break Barry Sanders record if they play 2 playoff games doesn’t impress me much. Guy averages 30 carries a game playing in a powder puff conference. Boises clam to fame is we only lost by 3 in the first game of the year to Oregon. What flex by the former pac-12 members. ASU wins the B12, Oregon the B10. I’m thinking with Texas making the title game it proves the SEC isn’t quite as far ahead in CFB as they think.

Dec 08, 2024 05:01 AM #182

@kjayhawks I get that. You can only beat who’s on your schedule and Boise dang near pulled it off. I think they deserve a spot but they could be the 3 seed which seems insane.

I have no idea how they’ll treat the ACC. Do they treat SMU as a fraud or a good win for Clemson and give them a bye? Same question to the Big 12 and ASU. Tomorrow will be crazy

Dec 08, 2024 05:05 AM #183

@FarmerJayhawk yes it will be interesting how much they penalize the losing a teams in the conference championships. I think the likes of Texas and Penn state are safely in but big question mark around SMU. They’ve always favored the SEC so hardcore I’d be shock if Bama doesn’t in. I just hope a non SEC team wins it.

Dec 08, 2024 05:12 AM #184

@kjayhawks Bama vs SMU is definitely the toughest case. I guess it comes down to two different approaches. Do we think Bama is better than SMU? I tend to think so. But does SMU have a better case to get in? Also think yes. So depends how the committee weights these things.

Dec 08, 2024 02:02 PM #185

SMU shouldn't be punished for losing by a FG in a conference championship game when Alabama didn't play in one at all. For Bama, don't lose to a pair of 6-6 teams

Dec 08, 2024 02:05 PM #186

What escapes me is why Penn State is definitely in and SMU may be left out. They have the same overall record. Both played in the conference championship and lost relatively close games. Only other loss for both was a close game to a ranked team (both SMU losses by 3 points). Questions about SMU's strength of schedule, but who has Penn State actually beaten. Penn State's only good win was 21-7 over a 9-3 Illinois team. Only other wins against teams with winning records are 7-5 Bowling Green and 7-5 Minnesota. Just two against a P-5 school. SMU has wins over a 9-3 team, two with 8-4 records, and two with 7-5 records. All P-5 wins. And, don't get me started on Indiana. They benefited from not qualifying for the conference championship. Patsy non-conference and conference schedule. Didn't play Oregon, PSU, Illinois or Iowa. Only win over a team with a winning record was 7-5 Michigan...

Dec 08, 2024 04:20 PM #187

@DCHawker Quality of losses. PSU lost to two teams were in the playoffs regardless of beating PSU and are regarded as the two favorites to win the national title this season. SMU's losses are viewed as worse because BYU didn't make the B12 title game and Clemson is only in because of beating SMU.

Dec 08, 2024 04:28 PM #188

@Texas-Hawk-10 So, BYU tied for the conference title and didn't get into the title game because of a complicated tiebreaker. Clemson was in its conference title game. Regardless, if quality of losses is more important than actually beating anyone of consequence (?), then how do you justify Alabama, with losses to Vandy and OU (a spank down by the latter).

No consistency in applying a "standard"...

Dec 08, 2024 04:45 PM #189

@DCHawker I don't think Alabama should be in over SMU this season. You should read up a few posts and you'll see that.

Your post I was responding to was specifically comparing Penn St. and SMU's rankings. PSU has "better" losses than SMU is why PSU is ahead of SMU.

Dec 17, 2024 01:30 AM #190

Sounds like there has been a lot of tampering with players that are currently in the CFP. They really need to change the dates on the portal til after the CFP and Bowl games or make it illegal to talk to players on a team that qualified for the postseason til it’s done.

Dec 18, 2024 04:07 AM #191

@kjayhawks Penn St. backup enters the portal. They're a pretty good team without their backup. Crazy.

Junior college football is super strong is this state. Butler was a power house for a decade then Garden City was really good then Independence now Hutch has been on a role. I watched Alvin Kamara running back for the saints play for them a handful of years ago.

@stoptheflop Total mis match.- -TCU going to cur stomp these guys --They have a hell of a QB we got to put up with for a couple more yrs

Iowa St off and running over Miami 7-0 - -well not anymore lol- - 7-7

Dec 28, 2024 08:53 PM #206

The Iowa State Miami game is a track meet so far with little defense. 21-14 with 2+ minutes in the 1st quarter.

Dec 28, 2024 11:31 PM #207

Actually a pretty good game to watch between Iowa State and Miami 41-35 Miami late 4th quarter. Love the offensive shoot uts, much better then a dam defensive game -BORING lol -Iowa State on the move

Dec 28, 2024 11:58 PM #208

Downside about Iowa State and Miami game is that QB Cam Ward sat out the 2nd half.
Iowa State wins 42-41.

Dec 29, 2024 12:19 AM #209

@patoh3 that was their decision. Not Iowa States problem. got to many of these guys option out, he didn't want to play or they didn't then that's on them. Iowa State was missing their best reviver, all games I watched today every team missing top key players

Dec 29, 2024 01:07 AM #210

@kjayhawks believe it our not, K-State was actually given their own bowl game. Sponsored by Purple Matress Co - it's called the Purple Pu$$y Bowl.

Dec 29, 2024 03:40 AM #211

BYU just embarrassed Colorado from start to finish.-- Think they sacked Sandes like 5 times , Colorado 2 yards rushing - BYU just in total control from start to finish. Can't say hurts my feelings any cause I have no use for Dieon Sanders, so was a really good game to watch

Dec 29, 2024 01:41 PM #212

@SlimShaddy54 Remind me again, who beat both those teams?

Dec 29, 2024 02:31 PM #213

Jan 01, 2025 01:08 AM #221

People can complain about Hunter winning the Heisman over Jeanty all they want. Jeanty against a team with a pulse after one QTR 8 carries and 20 yards. He broke away for one 12 yarder the rest 1.1 YPC. I’m sorry but give Neal that cake walk schedule and the ball 30 times a game. Bet he’s got 2,500 yards too

Jan 01, 2025 04:07 AM #222

Sanders still holds the record! Maybe I’m biased but he’s still the GOAT at RB IMO. Jeanty hasn’t impressed me all year. 30 carries 104 yards (3.5 YPC) 0 TDs, 2 fumbles, 1 lost and took an ill advised kick outta of the end zone to get smoked at 10. He’s the fourth or fifth best RB in a power conference. I wouldn’t draft ahead of Neal, Skattabo or Giddens for that matter.

Jan 01, 2025 10:59 PM #223

Bowl season this week has given us some regrets watching two teams we shoulda beat in high profile games. Illinois looked really good against South Carolina and of course Arizona St made me regret turning it off because I watched TV ALL DAY yesterday. That narrow loss to ASU was really impressive for us. It was blazing hot and maybe contributed a little bit to the late collapse, but that game was ours until 16 seconds left.

Jan 03, 2025 03:07 PM #224

Im really hoping after this season the hype train that is SEC takes a little bit of a step back. All we have heard for years was the SEC was head and shoulders above everyone else. If you got 5th in the SEC you’d dominate the other power conferences with ease. Texas winners of 1 of the last 14 B12 championships makes the title game their first year and is the last SEC team standing.

Jan 11, 2025 03:13 PM #225

Is K-State going to hang a national title banner in their football stadium if Ohio St. wins a national title?

Jan 12, 2025 03:30 AM #226

@Texas-Hawk-10 you know they will claim it in some way

Jan 12, 2025 03:31 AM #227

@approxinfinity I don't like Ohio State. A lot.

Jan 21, 2025 02:42 AM #232

Found this interesting

The Irish’s helmets are repainted with gold paint for each game.
The paint used is estimated to be around 37 troy ounces, which is about four level spoonfuls.
The cost of the gold paint is estimated to be over $50,000 per game for 100 players.
The cost of the gold paint for a season of 14 games is estimated to be around $700,000.

Will Howard led ~~K-State~~ OSU to a national championship. Talk about the one who got away. šŸ˜‚

@dylans Wow that's some serious money to be painted on helmets. -Wonder how much it costs for ours with the Jayhawk decal on also

KSU lucky to not be down by 7+ right now. Rain definitely favors KSU. Hopefully a dryer 2nd half

Aug 23, 2025 06:41 PM #238

Impressive fan support by both teams. So, now everyone on the ISt offense but the linemen have the plays on their left arms? Looks just like the instructions on my weed killer bottles.

Aug 23, 2025 07:21 PM #239

Better team won. B12 going to be a dog fight

Aug 23, 2025 07:24 PM #240

Marked as safe from the kitties running thru the big 12 like they said they would

If anyone needs something to hold them over until the football game starts, KU volleyball is currently on FS1 against Vanderbilt. KU dropped the 1st set, but has a big lead in the 2nd set.

Aug 23, 2025 09:22 PM #242

KU Volleyball takes down Vanderbilt in 5 sets. This was Vanderbilt's return to volleyball after 40 years.

Aug 23, 2025 09:22 PM #243

Vanderbilt seemed to give up in set 5. Good first win for our new coach

Aug 23, 2025 09:53 PM #244

@dylans leaving K-State makes you a better player. And person. But I still hate Ohio State too.

Aug 24, 2025 02:21 AM #245

Both Iowa St and K State defense looks pretty stout. Offenses has some work to do

Aug 24, 2025 03:06 AM #246

Exciting finish from the Stanford Hawaii football game. Hawaii's quarterback, who was playing through injury and limping noticeably, led a game winning drive that was capped by a field goal by a Japanese kicker who had taught himself to place kick by watching YouTube in Japan.

Aug 24, 2025 04:28 AM #247

@nuleafjhawk did you hear Avery's dad got into a fight with his oldest son after the game? There's video.

Aug 24, 2025 01:13 PM #248

I thought the field in Dublin was very slick from the rain or maybe type of turf ? Perhaps the wrong cleats? Rain in Dublin. Who knew?

Aug 24, 2025 02:38 PM #249

I never understood the desire to watch your team play in a cool destination - I usually don’t watch any tv when traveling, much less go to a game.

All I know about the KSU game is a bunch of people I know went - a cousin, my niece, my old bosses kid, and several other KSU fans. It sounds like they all had a blast in Dublin (up until the game of course). What a cool experience, especially for my niece who got to go with the band. She’ll remember that trip for a lifetime. Not the game, the trip.

Aug 24, 2025 10:13 PM #250

@dylans wonder what the price tag was for that?

Aug 24, 2025 10:51 PM #251

@kjayhawks Whatever the price, a KSU defeat is worth it

Aug 25, 2025 02:10 AM #252

Man talk about a rough outing, Dylan Edwards KSUs starting tail back released a statement on X after receiving hate mail on him quitting on the team. Remember these are the classiest people on the planet.

Aug 25, 2025 01:04 PM #253

Yeah sports fans are some of the worst people on the internet - just horrible that they can only think about themselves and not the athlete that is suffering way more. KU ā€œfansā€ are not any better, it’s gross how people act on the internet with anonymity.

Aug 27, 2025 04:50 PM #254

Really glad college football is back-even though we all know the problems. Most of the games this weekend are like our Wagner game, but Texas v. Ohio St Saturday 11am on FOX, WOW. And Sunday 6:30 on ABC Notre Dame v. Miami. I can't wait.

Aug 27, 2025 05:08 PM #255

My youngest son is going to the Miami game. His wife is a florida gal and they’re headed there for a long Labor Day weekend.

Aug 30, 2025 03:40 PM #266

@stoptheflop Oh Lord. I would pick players from Oklahoma, Texas, K-State, Notre Dame and Miami, put them on the same team and still root against the Suckeyes.

Aug 31, 2025 02:24 PM #276

I watched ESPN College Football Final this morning. For an hour. The only time they mentioned Kansas, it had a "State" after it. I did get to find out about all kinds of other schools though. Oklahoma School of Horseshoeing. Andover School for the Blind. Northwest Eastern College- South Campus.

Screw you, ESPN.

Aug 31, 2025 02:37 PM #277

@nuleafjhawk There are a lot of unranked teams that didn’t get mentioned and it’s not like KU is a football hotbed. Generally I’d prefer to keep Kansas football out of the headlines, it’s typically meant something like a linemen got stuck in the drive thru window at Taco Bell. Let them ride under the radar until they whoop mizery, then they’ll see what’s brewing in Lawrence.

Oh my goodness Bill , you might want to re-think about this gig in College foot ball. Like I was watching this morning some fun facts about this game Bill.

You get a grand total of 22o yardds the entire game on offense. --After your pick me up rally speech at half- ---first play of 2nd half TCU runs 75 yards UBTOUCHED for TD.- -- at one point N Carol gives up 42 straight unanswered points FORTY ONE ! !

Yet the best one of all-- -N Carolina goes TWO HOUS 7 EIGHT MINUTES WITHOUT completing a single pass, NOT EVEN A LITTLE SCREED BILL TWO HOURS and eight minutes - --I'm so sorry Bill is it to late , do you have an escape clause TWO HOURS -- -BILL- -- -BILL- --BILL I'm so sorry = = psssst the hell I am lmao -that is one sad team with their 4 million dollar QC N Carol is pathetic

Was fun to see, even if it isn't as fun to hate on Bama in their current state. I've kind of adopted them and Wisconsin as tertiary teams knowing that them winning brings some fellow bucketeers some joy. As long as neither is playing KU or Michigan.

Sep 02, 2025 08:12 PM #293

@BShark

I have done the same when it comes to KU Football. I'm watching the games and following the ins and outs for my fellow bucketeer friends who want the fb team to be good consistently. I have enjoyed following Lepoid as an outsider.

Sep 13, 2025 04:19 AM #294

KSU might just be bad

Sep 13, 2025 04:43 AM #295

I don't think we can talk shit on K-State football until we beat them.

Sep 13, 2025 04:49 AM #296

@FarmerJayhawk if Arizona would of lost that game they would of had no one to blame other then their selves. The way they came out to start the 2nd half was sad. The punter just flat out dropped the ball got it blocked

O ther then 0ne play and the blocked punt-- --K/State in no way did they show they could move the ball the entire length of the field.-- -Johnson waas horrible he just made some really bad decisions turning small to moderate loss to HUGE losses, they are not a very good team right now- - -- --can't stop the run

Sep 13, 2025 04:51 AM #297

Sep 13, 2025 12:32 PM #298

@Jhawk69 Oh no. It is perfectly within our rights to talk doo-doo on K-State anytime. In fact, it is our responsibility 🤣

Sep 13, 2025 01:27 PM #299

At this point it’s looking like KSU would be a bad loss. I ain’t counting my chickens before they hatch at the same time. We should’ve beat them in 2005, 2009 and the last two years. You can bet your ass they play the best against us. It feels like if we don’t end it this year, we may never get it done

Sep 13, 2025 08:27 PM #301

If Wisconsin had anything that resembled an offense, they’d be fine

Sep 13, 2025 08:53 PM #302

WVU up early on Pitt. I don't think they are the pushover many claim them to be.

Sep 13, 2025 09:16 PM #303

Wow, IState struggling against Ark State; tied 9-9 at the half. unranked Arkansas beat Ark St 56-14 last week

Sep 13, 2025 11:04 PM #304

The big 12 is looking more like a pretender every single week.

Sep 13, 2025 11:31 PM #305

Texas Tech and Utah are currently the two best teams in the Big 12. Tech just looks dominant even if they haven’t played the strongest schedule so far. I would put Iowa St. 3rd best because they've at least been able to win their games so far. Then I would put KU in with a group that includes BYU, TCU, Cincy, and Arizona as teams that could sneak into the Big 12 title game with some fortunate results.

Our 4 road games could conceivably include at least 3, possibly all 4 games against teams that finish top 6 in the Big 12 this year. KU has to figure out a way to put away these close games or we could be sitting at 5-4 with @ISU, @Arizona, and home against Utah to get a 6th win and I'm not super confident in that right now.

Sep 13, 2025 11:47 PM #306

WVU peat Pitt. Ohio, the team that beat WVU, is hanging tough with Ohio State. WVU, it turns out, is actually a pretty good team. We will have to bring our A-game to have a chance against them.

Sep 14, 2025 12:28 AM #307

@Jhawk69 we need to have that mind set regardless of the opposition for the rest of the year. I’ll say the same I said last season about this game, I don’t see the loser making a bowl game.

Sep 14, 2025 05:28 PM #308

The Big 12 to me looks wide open at this moment. I agree 100% with @Texas-Hawk-10 we have to take care of business at home in the early season. After the October 4th game at UCF the schedule gets a lot tougher and if it turns into a situation where we need 2 or 3 wins. I just don’t see it happening. I think both Arizona and Cincinnati are better than most thought they would be. But working in our favor I Missouri as painful as it is to admit is a potential top 10 team right. That Hardy kid at RB maybe the best in the country at his position.

Sep 14, 2025 07:29 PM #309

@Jhawk69 I listened to the WVU coach after the game and DAMN! I'm fired up! I may have to switch teams.

Not really, but it was impressive to see him talk (rant) about his team, school and state.

Sep 15, 2025 12:20 AM #310

@nuleafjhawk I'm not impressed. --the line has us as a 11.5 favorite---thats a lot for a KU team I don't think we will cover that BUT I think wwe should stii control this game

Sep 15, 2025 12:59 AM #311

@SlimShaddy54 that seems like a huge line for a conference game

Sep 15, 2025 01:50 AM #312

That line will shrink so betting on us not to cover before the line moves could be smart.

this does not constitute official gambling advice
*gambling problem? Call a gambling hotline

Sep 15, 2025 02:13 AM #313

We should cover. Lance is a wizard off byes and we’ll be healthier than we’ve been all season.

Sep 16, 2025 12:42 AM #314

@kjayhawks That's a really big line for K and now up to 12'5

Sep 16, 2025 01:41 AM #315

Speaking of bye weeks I’m a little frustrated that KSU gets a bye heading into the sunflower showdown for the 4 time in the last 6 years. They’ve beaten us 16 straight times maybe we should stop giving them that advantage B12

Sep 17, 2025 01:34 AM #316

@kjayhawks Well they get that bye, but we get that same bye so they gain nothing. We play Tech on the 11th then we don't play again until the 25th So they aren't gaining anything on us there

Sep 20, 2025 01:15 AM #317

Ok State is down 16-3 at home to Tulsa 😳

Sep 20, 2025 02:49 AM #318

Gundy is so getting fired

Sep 20, 2025 07:15 PM #319

Tech really took it to Utah in the 4th. Them and TCU look for real.

Sep 20, 2025 08:37 PM #320

Boy you have to wonder if seat is starting to heat up on Luke Fickell at Wisconsin. How about Jeff Grimes’s offense not getting in the end zone til 20 seconds to go. The Wisconsin fans already want his butt gone like I did last year. I’ll be nice but a big haha to the guy on here that gave me so much crap for hating him from day 1.

Sep 20, 2025 08:50 PM #321

Fickell is toast. Same results with both Longo (who was really good at UNC and Ole Miss) and now Grimes. The Badger faithful won’t tolerate that.

Sep 20, 2025 09:11 PM #322

The Badgers have tolerated outdated, predictable, and unproductive offenses for as long as I can remember.

Sep 20, 2025 09:16 PM #323

They at least won. Chryst got fired when things went south.

Tolerated? We loved it. Won a lot of games, put up video game numbers, at least running. Always tough Defenses too.

Fickell should be gone I hope.

But I was a Jayhawk fan before I was a Badger fan so lets focus on this game!

Sep 21, 2025 01:03 AM #325

Indiana is kicking Illinois ass in the 1st half. 35-7

Sep 21, 2025 01:34 AM #326

Go Gamecocks!

Sep 21, 2025 02:32 AM #327

Illinois was pretty much ranked off of last years success not this years team.

Sep 21, 2025 02:35 AM #328

The question becomes does Wisconsin throw the bank at Leipold to get him home? Hearing Florida is also interested

Sep 21, 2025 02:55 AM #329

Fun fact if the day Wisconsin had to pay Kansas $500k to get Grimes hahahaha, idk pay him money to stay the hell away.

Sep 21, 2025 03:00 AM #330

At this point Lance is a KU lifer. Can’t see anyone going after a 62 year old with his record in P4 football. I know Mrs. Leipold is very happy in LFK.

Sep 21, 2025 03:10 AM #331

Florida is the team that's getting brought up that could potentially make Leipold reconsider things. That's a program that can win a national title pretty quickly and who I would be most nervous about of they decided Leipold was the man they wanted once they fire Napier after this season.

Sep 21, 2025 03:14 AM #332

@FarmerJayhawk @Texas-Hawk-10 will be interesting to see what dominoes fall in time. But yes at Lance’s age he could easily become the Goat of KU coaches in football and retire in 5-7 years.

Sep 21, 2025 03:27 AM #333

Lance is just such a weird cultural fit down there I can’t see bout sides seeing it as a good match. Kansas is the furthest south he’s coached by a good bit.

Sep 21, 2025 04:43 AM #334

I’m a big fan of a lot of underdogs. One of those is Sean Lewis at San Diego State. They’re straight up whooping Cal right now. He’s a younger coach who has a really bright future. He was on KU’s radar at the time Lance was hired, though never a serious candidate.

Sep 21, 2025 03:01 PM #335

@FarmerJayhawk there have been some really bad spreads thru the first month of play. Cal was favored in that game by 13 I believe, KSU was favored by 18 vs Army. Illinois was 7 points dogs in absolute beat down 63-10 by Indiana. The rankings will be interesting when they come out, Notre Dame finally won a game despite being ranked all season and the previously mentioned Illinois team was ranked number 9. I would be surprised if we don’t see a few votes come our way this week but don’t think we will be ranked yet. I personally like being ranked in the second half of the season rather than the first.

@wissox you should google it, was really good.

Oct 04, 2025 04:28 PM #355

Cincinnati is spanking ISU 17-0 at the end of the first QTR. 😳

Oct 04, 2025 04:47 PM #356

@kjayhawks Cinci 24-7 and barely in the 2nd Q

Oct 04, 2025 05:50 PM #357

Isu woke up now 31-15 at the half but it’s clear Cincinnati is a team better than most thought. Still stinks we gave it away but they maybe this years ASU.

Oct 04, 2025 06:11 PM #358

KSU unfortunately looks like a different team right now and a good one

Oct 04, 2025 06:53 PM #359

At halftime the ISU defense actually made adjustments and has not allowed Cincy to score since. If only we could do that for just 2 minutes

Oct 04, 2025 07:08 PM #360

Cincinnati football-the dream killers. Down goes undefeated IState. Still 6 min left, but I'm calling it. Still rooting for Baylor though.

Oct 04, 2025 07:24 PM #361

Hell ya Baylor fu** KSU

Oct 04, 2025 07:37 PM #362

The refs tried really hard to give that game to KSU. Called a phantom PI to move them closer to field goal range. Baylor defeats K-State and the refs with that block

Oct 04, 2025 07:49 PM #363

That one particular ref crew in the KSU Baylor game has a terrible and well deserved reputation among coaches

Oct 04, 2025 08:11 PM #364

@Jhawk69 yes I don’t how ksu always, always get a call when needed to give them a chance.

Oct 04, 2025 08:11 PM #365

@FarmerJayhawk KU has had that crew a few times and they are the worst in college football.

Oct 04, 2025 08:30 PM #366

@kjayhawks Buuuut.....maybe not.🤭🤣

Oct 04, 2025 09:06 PM #367

Still worried KSU will torch us in defense but I also think KUs schedule is much tougher than originally thought kinda like last year. Mizzou is 5-0, Fresno will likely be 5-1 after tonight and Cincinnati is 4-1.

Oct 04, 2025 09:46 PM #368

Upset Watch: Florida has a 9 pt lead over Turncoat Texas almost at the end of 3Q. 22 to 14.

Oct 04, 2025 10:20 PM #369

Arch has thrown two bad picks this half. My boy Billy might save his job after all

Oct 04, 2025 10:37 PM #370

Andy has not had a good game for Penn State. His 4th and game call was horrific.

Oct 04, 2025 10:54 PM #371

@FarmerJayhawk The short pass to begin the drive with only 17 seconds left hurt. But, that may have been on the QB, not Andy.

Oct 05, 2025 03:19 AM #372

@stoptheflop ya Andy always had a play or two that made a person scratch their head. I honestly think their QB is average at best, JD is unbeaten and we are 2-4 if we switch them two imo.

Oct 05, 2025 03:33 AM #373

Grapes losing their minds on message boards and I’m enjoying reading. They want only to beat us and don’t care about any other games at this point. Want Klieman fired and Colin Klein to come in as head coach.

Oct 05, 2025 04:29 AM #374

Man it’s really weird watching Duke play Cal in a ACC conference game at 1 am eastern time

Oct 05, 2025 02:51 PM #375

?s=46

Oct 11, 2025 06:01 PM #376

Mizzou and Ala tied in the third Q. Strange: my dislike of Mizz forces me to root for Ala, whom I also dislike and would usually root against. And hey, what's up with 3-2 and unranked Tex being a 2.5 fav over #6 OU?

Oct 11, 2025 09:05 PM #377

Alabama beat methzou. Roll Tide, for today

Oct 11, 2025 10:38 PM #378

Upsets galore. Northwestern beats St. Penn in Unhappy Valley. Indiana whom I didn't believe in until today is about to knock off Oregon in Nikeville. Of course Oregon's best win has been winning at Penn State which has now lost 3 in a row so maybe they're not that great either.

Oct 11, 2025 10:42 PM #379

Texas upset over OU. Of course about a month ago it wouldn't have been considered an upset.

Oct 11, 2025 11:02 PM #380

So, Colo beats IState. What the hell is going on?

Oct 11, 2025 11:33 PM #381

The question becomes does Franklin make it thru the season at this point?

Oct 12, 2025 07:21 PM #382

Franklin doesn’t even make it til Monday $49 million dollar buyout

Oct 12, 2025 10:24 PM #383

This cycle is going to be nuts. Do I think Lance goes anywhere? No, but with Wiscy almost certainly open and Nubs may be open, the chances aren’t zero.

Oct 18, 2025 10:42 PM #384

ASU taking it too Tech without Morton

Oct 18, 2025 10:43 PM #385

@kjayhawks yes, I am thoroughly enjoying watching the tortilla tossers get spanked.

Oct 18, 2025 10:43 PM #386

It turns out that stopping simple runs up the middle is possible after all

Oct 18, 2025 10:47 PM #387

Tech defense has kept them in the game thus far but they look gassed. Also Houston 6-1 😳, I wanted Willie before we hired Liepold

Oct 18, 2025 11:08 PM #388

My bad. I jinxed ASU

Oct 19, 2025 12:36 AM #389

@Jhawk69 Would be really nice to have a defense say like oh I dun Tech's maybe or possibly ASU'-- or Utah- ------- we need some guys who have ability or want to that's like I'm gonna rip your fricken head off , or like you really don't want to have that ball boy- -some guys just nasty be fricken aggressive instead of 11 guys made out of Swiss cheese
e.

OH I got an idea--- HEY DK heard Mcdonal's is hiring

Oct 19, 2025 01:36 PM #390

The back-up QB for Tech is quite bad. Huge drop off from Morton.

Oct 19, 2025 01:37 PM #391

@BShark ya no chance they lose that with Morton IMO. The offense was terrible for 3.5 quarters and the special teams finally set them up late is why they took the lead.

Oct 20, 2025 03:09 PM #392

The Giants just pulled an all-time choke.

Nov 02, 2025 03:04 AM #393

West Virginia 😳

Nov 02, 2025 03:07 AM #394

@kjayhawks Mountain Mama?

Nov 02, 2025 03:08 AM #395

@nuleafjhawk apparently they thought Houston ran away with their mountain momma

Nov 02, 2025 03:15 AM #396

@kjayhawks The same team we beat 41-10. Wow

Nov 02, 2025 03:22 AM #397

Man it would be the most amazing thing in the world if we made a bowl and KSU didn’t. I don’t see a scenario where they don’t spank Colorado and Okie lite but a guy can dream. I watched a little bit of their game today and a little of them vs Arizona & Army. Of course they probably played the best game in the last 2 or 3 years against us. Yet they act like it wasn’t their Super Bowl…. My ass

Nov 02, 2025 04:09 AM #398

Duke bests Clemson in Death Valley for the first time since before the internet in 1980. Is Dabo the next big name to get the axe?

Nov 08, 2025 08:12 PM #399

Incredible catch by Indiana receiver in end zone to put them up 27-24 vs Penn state. 35 seconds left in 4th quarter.

Nov 16, 2025 02:27 AM #400

KSU escapes Stillwater 14-6 😳, they really did play their best game far and away in Lawrence

Nov 16, 2025 03:46 AM #401

@kjayhawks ya, there are people- --some here that think we have had a terrible year, you ought to listen to K/State fan base-- you would think the sky is falling. How bad Johnson is playing , they don't know what the hell their Coach is doing- -- How the team has cashed it in- -what the hell Wells is calling.

They said in the Okla St game that Okla St had the ball inside the thirty like four times and came away scoring zero points okie state beating their selves fumbling the ball twice and missing field goal. K/State podcasts just going nuts

Nov 16, 2025 04:28 AM #402

@SlimShaddy54 KSU was preseason top 20, the trendy pick for B12 champions and had Johnson as a heisman hopeful. I don’t think anyone had Kansas winning more than 7 or 8 games. Our season has been disappointing with losing to our rivals and giving away 2 games in the final minute but not the same as theirs.

Nov 16, 2025 04:37 AM #403

There’s a decent chance we both finish 6-6. Which isn’t ideal, but their meltdown is very funny.

Nov 16, 2025 04:50 AM #404

@FarmerJayhawk said in Other Football Games of Interest:

I’d probably cry if we went 6-6 and they went 5-7. If they play like they did today Colorado beats them.

Nov 16, 2025 04:58 AM #405

They lost their receiver too, maybe for the yr.

Nov 16, 2025 05:25 PM #406

@FarmerJayhawk Agree with you 100 % --Epic--the worlds coming to an end tomorrow lol

Nov 22, 2025 10:34 PM #407

KSU has over 330 yards running against Utah in the first half

Nov 22, 2025 10:44 PM #408

@kjayhawks said in Other Football Games of Interest:

Another ruined weekend: KU with another massive loss and KSt pounding #12 Utah at the half to get bowl eligible. Come on Utah, you've still got a half to fix part of my weekend.

Nov 22, 2025 10:50 PM #409

@stoptheflop hopefully we see this and run the ball Friday and keep the defense off the field

Nov 22, 2025 11:03 PM #410

I am so pissed/ frustrated. KSU kicking Utah's ass? I'm ready to flip to the dark side.

Nov 22, 2025 11:31 PM #411

Good grief: KSt with 408 rushing yds in 3 Qs and 4 rushing TDs. Utah getting punked at home

Nov 23, 2025 12:09 AM #412

Utah is going to beat us 99-1.

Nov 23, 2025 12:32 AM #413

What an epic meltdown from KSU. Very impressive.

Nov 23, 2025 12:40 AM #414

Utes!!!!!! Hopefully used all their magic in that one, wow ksu is a bunch of idiots

Nov 23, 2025 12:54 AM #415

Oh my. KSt had 574 yds of offense; 472 rushing and 6 TDs and somehow managed to lose that game. That's gotta hurt KSt.

Nov 23, 2025 02:25 AM #418

@SlimShaddy54 I don't know how, but I have faith in them! Lol

Nov 29, 2025 08:30 PM #419

Vanderbilt Tennessee is looking like an interesting game. A rivalry between two good offenses and some playoff implications. Vandy opened up with an initially good drive that their QB ended up "Jalon Danielsing".

Nov 29, 2025 10:46 PM #420

@Jhawk69 I don't even have to ask what Jalon Danielsing is. Throwing an interception inside the 20 yard line. ??

Nov 29, 2025 11:39 PM #421

@nuleafjhawk Yeah

Nov 30, 2025 03:55 AM #422

Imagine not liking college football. Today’s slate has been terrific.

Nov 30, 2025 04:22 AM #423

Oh boy. With Cal winning were a dook win away from the ACC being left out of the CFP entirely

Nov 30, 2025 07:34 PM #424

Go Cal! My wife's alma mater.
