I think WVU is our toughest match up all year. We better have eaten our Wheaties because this will be a game for men. Huggy Bear did a great job of reloading!

THEY have their obvious advantages , but then you can turn that around and say so do we. - -I'll take my chances with them brining their big's out to defend us in open space. In their game the other night was brought up they are not really big in the shot blocking area like their last big guy was - -their strength is in the rebounding - got to break even in that area not get demolished on the boards.

Iowa State stayed with them on the boards pretty much - -played them well in WV only losing by 5. They still have some problems of shooting from the outside at times can go stale, - they shoot some better then in previous years but still far from great unless they just happen to have one of those nights. Yet as a hole their outside game doesn't scare me. McBride pretty decent , their big men scare me more then any - we shall see. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

OK guys I bleed crimson & Blue BUT they have us ranked 3rd in the Nation today , I'm sorry to say we are not the 3rd best team in the nation - at least not right now - - can't quite figure why.

The Big 12 has 4 teams ranked in the top 10 - -5 in the top 15. - - -( Baylor ) 2nd- - - ( KU ) 3rd -- ( WV ) 7th - - ( Texas 10th ) - -& ( Texas Tech 15th ) - -tough league

I think a lot of it will depend on how the game is called. I expect WV to play physical. This is were guys like Lightfoot and Harris can draw lots of charges. Look how are game flipped with TT... and suddenly they were getting all the offensive boards and TT is small. We need to hold our own on position. This will be a good test and we should come out of this game with an education. Just glad we aren't facing a packed house in Morgantown!

well by the time w play them in Morgantown - -who knows what they will allow there - -gonna be another real test for sure

not quite sure where you got that at, BUT it wouldn't shock me if they did. wouldn't shock me if we won. - If WV did it wouldn't be like WOW didn't see that coming.

Ku has a lot of work to do , this is not one of Coach's better shooting teams he has had in the past. We have tendencies of going through stretch's of turning the ball over , a lot of un-forced at that , we have extended periods of scoring droughts - so plenty reason there where I could see WV winning. Won't have our normal home Court advantage WV has 2 big boys that COULD and I say again COULD just have a field day against us inside. - -Now WILL that happen ? who knows - -could happen , maybe not

But it's not like we have no chance either just like us WV has their share of problems too. - They still have scoring droughts , don't think they have seen defensive pressure like we CAN bring , they too having problems shooting just like previous years for them at times - -their a little beter, Two key outside players we have to control - -Matthews & McBride , just more worried about their interior could be a rough night. - -Still think if we work hard and bring it - I still like our chances in the phog. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

WV fans have been going at this since almost last weekend saying : - Well we going to lose this were playing at their place. - The refs will have both our big's with 3 fouls by the 1st TV timeout- - - -typical game against these cheaters at their place. - We should win this game cause we are clearly the better team but the refs will see to it that we lose. If they get two shots every time down the floor we won’t.

I could definitely see that zone come back out.

I was surprised to experience a WV team that didn't play with more physicality. They have the bodies.

But then... I was extremely surprised how well we played this game as an "x-axis game!" I know we hit a crazy amount of 3s and that isn't always going to happen. However... when we play like this it is highly likely we shoot well from trey!

I'm trying to think back at past teams and games... and I can't think of a game where we played this level of x-axis ball before. The game moved so well on a horizontal plane. We didn't make it any kind of vertical game, which would have allowed WV to muscle us! WV was lost! Big guys running around usually in "no man's land" not knowing who to cover or what. That's what an offense can do to a defense when the offense doesn't let the ball stick and players move their feet!

This even creates great opportunities for Big Mac! We have a big open space in the middle and there is room for one of our guys to use that space wisely!

Loved all the 3s, loved all the motion, loved all the spacing, loved how the ball didn't stick! Loved how players would drive and feed... Wow!

well the media and even Christian giving them plenty of bulleting board to fire them up when we go there to play. - -Christian interviewed and saying he thought they would come out and guard but they didn't guard so firing away. -

247 had an article and they posted about how Greenberg had said that West Virginia didn't make KU feel them meaning up on them defensively - - everything pretty much being said about how lax they were in their defense - guarantee you that won't happen again they be belly to belly on us next time

It's a huggy bear team... so you know he teams defense. I don't think they had practiced against so much ball movement and moving feet. They sure were stuck in no man's land a lot. And all the treys created long rebounds, perfect since we weren't going to get our hands dirty in the paint scrapping for rebounds.

Sure makes sense for us to fire up treys... if for no other reason then to create long rebounds that give us a chance to get them.

WVU was leading Gonzaga for a major portion of that game. I didn't see much of it, but I would assume that Gonzaga moved the ball well and shot plenty of three's. How was WVU's defense that game?
