TCU isn't a bottom feeder this year. I'm not saying they're a great team, but they're definitely a tier above ISU and KSU this season. I could see them finishing as high as 6th battling with OU and OSU for that spot.

I want Dave to start and play like game before last. Also, I want guys not to feed him in the post much. And plenty of Mitch time if things go sideways.

At this point, Mitch. Advanced numbers favor Mitch in just about every category.

With Samuel its a good matchup for Dave. Mitch doesn't seem playable tonight outside his normal rotation. If our 3 best players don't show up though and shoot well it won't matter

@Kcmatt7 Read the box score from our recent debacle. Both had 14 mins and zero turnovers.

Dave had 5 rebs (3 off) and 8 pts on 8 FTs. 0 for 4 from the field, 0 blocks, steals or assists. 2 PF.

Mitch had 2 blocks and 3 fouls, and zero in every other category including rebounds.

According to the play-by-play on ESPN.com, Texas scored 2 FTs on one of Mitch's fouls, and missed their 1-and-1 FT on one of Dave's. Their other fouls were non-shooting.

Particularly interesting from that site is that every KU player had a poor defensive rating in that game (Dave 120, Mitch 116) and that Dave had the highest offensive rating of 133, and he and Wilson were the only ones above average. Mitch's is undefined.

It really shows how poorly the whole team played. But based on that game, I'd go with Dave.

Mitch's zilch stat line reminds me of a friends game in a Junior High JV game. He was 8 inches shorter than the opposing center and hopelessly outmatched, but was right there in every play, working his butt off and getting nothing to show for it. But the audience actually gave my friend a standing ovation. Might be the first and only non-sarcastic standing O for a zero point, zero rebound game

I kind of enjoyed that first half, to be honest. Braun obviously got chewed out and is aggressive again. Dave was above average. Mitch was Mitch. Harris is fun to watch. Ochai, other than his love for the 12 foot jumper has played well. Jalen is still rock solid. BONUS: This new Tristan guy.

Other than Wilson, we struggle to score against teams with length and athleticism (Kentucky, Texas). Baylor's not quite as lengthy, but extremely athletic. We have to hope that Self can find something that works against Baylor and Scott Drew doesn't adjust to it, like the high screen and roll with Doke last season.

Why? I think this is a discussion worth having even if Self won't consider it. Garrett doesn't have that feel for the game and ability to control pace/flow like great PGs have. Collins/Frank/Graham/Dotson had it, Dajuan has it.

ya not much on the defensive end for sure - - just to easy

David's bigger issue is on the perimeter. Mitch is a solid defender as long as it isn't one on one in the post.

Jalen reminds me of older Paul Pierce. Point forward that can score from everywhere and pass and plays smart. He's not athletic enough to be younger Pierce, though.

This to me is still a good not great team. Look good when we shoot well. Usually play with good effort and heart. But will get outclassed by big talent from time to time.

Texas is very athletic and very good.

OK, I'll go with a combo Dedric-Paul Pierce comparison for Jalen. None of those guys will jump one more inch higher than necessary
