Pretty early but wanted to talk about this game. Feels like a difficult game for Dave. No chance of him guarding Manek, if I am Lon I play small and force Bill to match up or get ran out of the gym.
OU is about as bad as TCU defensively but much better on offense. Could be a wild game.
At the same time if we can feed Dave and get two quick ones on Manek game could shift.
Need Dave to play well for that to work though.
Ya could turn out to be a up and down on the floor. That's ok I'll take my chances with that Oklahoma 2nd in league in Scoring but I'm not impressed well other then maybe Reeves - -Manick isn't beating KU by himself that's for sure. If Marcus is available put him on Reeves.
True this might be one of those games where we go 5 out - with smaller increments of Dave - it's ok Dave is still just fine with me - -just smaller in this.
Dave is playing better when he is facing another true 5 example ( West Virginia ) - - ( TCU ) -- he helps there but just times when we need to switch I'm good with that

I don't know , I'm having a little bit of a hard time getting into games as much this year , with everything that is going on , mostly empty arena's . I think one of the keys to a teams success in college is how quickly their managers can get those little stools with their logos on them set up at the timeout. When I was at a game at Northwestern two years ago Penn States managers were faster and PSU won. OU's were really fast on that last timeout. I'm scared.

WSU Shocker guards, even former players always play well against us. Reaves was by far OU's leading scorer, 7/14 for 20 pts. Season average is 16 though.

The turnovers were rough today, especially Jalen. Jalen also played tough, hit a couple big shots. He will continue to develop and be just fine. The biggest problem as I see it right now is a lack of good ball handling guards. We have a LOT of wings. If guys come back and the staff adds a ball handler next year's team could be very good. This year, I'd be happy with a S16.
This is a weird team this year that's hard to get a solid read on.
I guess that's part of the relative inexperience of this team even those with experience taking on new responsibilities this season is creating a very inconsistent team.
I am a believer in Dave. I have been saying from the start that Dave is a double double caliber player. By no means he is at an elite level, however, he can still become Marcus M and even T-Rob type of a player.
His D needs improvement. His rebounding needs improvement.
Earlier in the season he was playing too fast, sped up and thinking too much. Now he seems to be playing more with a free mind. He is not sped up as much.
His Offense has improved immensely from last year. He has developed several good post moves. He has a decent mid range jumper. His FT is smooth.
Dave is a critical piece in this team's success.
Re Dave: With the last two games, he has finally raised his BPM above 0. Hopefully a trend that continues.
If we get to the 2nd weekend of the dance this year, I would be ecstatic. That we are not going to win the conference I think is pretty obvious, with three or four losses we will come in second. Agree with @BShark, definitely need another scoring ballhandling guard next year. Agree with @jayballer67 too, hard to really get into any sports right now, just difficult to watch.
Dave played great this week. Wonder if he gets Big 12 player of the week
