They didn't show up, that's what. There is no way that USC is 30 some points better than us. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the upcoming season when we have a few more multi-dimensional players. It will be nice.

It's 100% my fault. I sat on the wrong side of the couch. Didn't have my lucky socks on. (Who thought you'd need lucky damn socks to beat USC?) Didn't turn and watch Mr Robot after we got down 10. (That always helps when I turn the channel for 20-30 minutes). I guess it all worked out, though. If we eventually would have gotten (had) to play Gonzaga, they would have beaten us like a rented mule. Honestly, I think they'd have won by 100. That would be a nice little asterisk to their referee induced perfect season.

I woke up this morning thinking, "what if we had made 6 of our first 11 shots instead of one?"

Then I went back to sleep knowing we would have only lost by 20-ish.

I think we always have problems with March teams that come out all excited. We didn't match energy. A bad thing became worse, became catastrophic.

You took the words out of my mouth! I think that game represented a lot of stored up resentment towards Roy for walking out on Kansas... especially after he said he wouldn't.

I really changed my tune on Roy after he wore the Jayhawk at the championship game!

Covid. Not only for taking Jalen & Dave out but for the disruption it put on the teams ability to practice etc. This is exactly what happened to Baylor and so many other teams across the nation when they came back. Covid pause disrupts your defense, your legs, your shooting, your rhythm and just about everything else. The Eastern Washington game from an analytics standpoint showed the defense tanked. It was even worse 2 days later playing Length and Athleticism.

The basketball gods are just out for vengeance. I'm not sure what Bill did to them, but he really needs to sacrifice his first born son or something to get us back in their good graces.

@benshawks08 You forget about the Marquette game in 03. 70-30 at one point. Watched it recently on youtube. Might have made us a bit overconfident going into Monday?

From now and just refer to this as "drgnslayr's loss!" I'll wear it like a shame badge just like Roy did.

@drgnslayr Well, phooey. If it was your fault why are so many people blaming the coaches and players? Just remember, if it is your fault now then we will certainly give you credit when we win it all!

Never apologize for pooping on Cal and K. If dogging those two is wrong, I dont want to be right.
