Grant Foster in the portal

Mar 29, 2021 06:23 PM #2

Well. Bye.

Mar 29, 2021 06:24 PM #3

At least he had some nice minutes going out.

Mar 29, 2021 06:25 PM #4

KU basketball is getting better. Soon.

Weird way to get longer and more athletic ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I mean he just can't play at this level. You know Bill isn't done with the axe yet.

Mar 29, 2021 06:35 PM #7

Yea he doesn't fit here. He needs a place he can go shoot it 20 times a game and that isn't here.

Reality is in a normal year we he never gets on our roster.

we have discussed the others. Now from least likely to most likely : Jethro , Tristan , Jossell. - -Not even sure why I'm saying Jethro the least likely but I dunno something he sticks maybe for one more year

He can't shoot. That shot is literally broke. Good athlete tho

Mar 29, 2021 07:00 PM #10

TGF should be a good fit at the mid major level. He is a great athlete, but the skill level just isn't there to produce at a place like Kansas.

Mar 29, 2021 08:22 PM #11

@BeddieKU23 accurate. I always thought he had the Diallo mentality too when he was in the game. If he touched it, then he was shooting it. And that is not the way to break into a Bill Self rotation

Mar 29, 2021 08:25 PM #12

@Kcmatt7

Definitely was a one track mind on the court for the most part. Don't think he was healthy for a lot of the season either but its hard to find a jumpshot in need of so much work

Mar 29, 2021 08:30 PM #13

@BeddieKU23 Yea I'm glad that Bill pulled the plug early on this one and didn't let Tyon hang around before things got bad.

Mar 29, 2021 09:19 PM #14

He was probably the most un KUlike player we've had in decades

Mar 29, 2021 09:28 PM #15

I'm glad TGF is transferring because its what is best for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he's starting for a good team when he's eligible, whether that's next season or the following year.

On a side note, I always imagined that Quentin Grimes would be the leading scorer on a team heading to the Elite Eight.

I think if he stuck it out he would have been a player here but sometimes a change of scenery is best.

Mar 29, 2021 11:01 PM #17

@wissox I think Rio Adams will hold that title forever

Mar 30, 2021 12:40 AM #18

@Kcmatt7 Hmmm, how would we define that?!!

Mar 30, 2021 03:07 AM #19

Quentin grimes ... now there’s a guy we should have got!

Mar 30, 2021 03:43 AM #20

@Bosthawk I think KU fans were so hard on him that we ran him out of town. I know he was frustrating, but he was still a pretty decent freshman basketball player.

Mar 30, 2021 07:17 AM #21

Quentin had an attitude problem while here. He didn't hustle. Not sure why but he wasn't a fit here. I'm glad to see him reach his potential at Houston. That Houston - Baylor game should be a good one!

TGF was athletic but lacked refinement and we are not the best fit for teaching personal development to players. He wasted a year here. Hope he finds someplace where they believe in him and have someone who can help him develop. He needs everything... shot, handles, basketball IQ...

Mar 30, 2021 10:57 AM #22

Quentin's dad was the big issue.

Mar 30, 2021 12:25 PM #23

Q had a hard time adjusting too. He’s young for his class (didn’t turn 19 until May of his FR year) so it wasn’t the easiest transition for him. Which happens. About 1/5 freshmen transfer nationwide. No hard feelings.
