OK so it's NC tonight. So jump - - speak up , I know almost 98 % of you all got Gonzaga - - whatever. - - I'm telling ya Balor guards gonna give Gonzaga fits. - - -Flagger, Butler , Teague - - -Mitchell. - -I just don't think Gonzaga has seen this kind of attack plus defensive pressure from these guards like Baylor. - -Then you throw in the wild card Mayer, been really god in the tourney ?

So go ahead - -tell me where I'm wrong. - -that's cool you want Gonzaga ? - - take Gonzaga. - -I'm telling you Baylor has something special for them. Jarrod Butler has YET to un load have a great game. - - Mitchell on Suggs -- I'm all in. - -I will be the lone ranger and STILL say Baylor takes them. - -If Baylor loses - then they lose , but everybody want to suck ass on Gonzaga thinking they the best thing walking the earth - I'm telling you against UCLA seen plenty of flaws they most for sure CAN BE BEAT.

i'M TAKING JUST THE OPPOSITE OF THE LINE 4 1/2 for Gonzaga - -I'm taking Baylor for the same spread. It's ok - -Take Gonzaga it's ok - -I'm Baylor

I'm taking Baylor by 5

Refs for the victory

Apr 06, 2021 01:03 AM #3

I think Gonzaga's already had their tournament scare. Expect them to cover.

Rooting for the Northwest favorite tonight. Corey Kispert used to play at the HS just up the street from me...didn't realize he'd turn out to be this good.

Apr 06, 2021 01:17 AM #7

Apr 06, 2021 01:24 AM #10

Early early but I'm tellin ya Baylor to quick - -Gonzaga hasn't seen a team that will get in your sahorts like this - -long ways to go

Apr 06, 2021 01:24 AM #11

We stink

Apr 06, 2021 01:25 AM #12

@DanR we like we Jayhawks?

Apr 06, 2021 01:25 AM #13

Baylor needs to represent

Apr 06, 2021 01:25 AM #14

Started too many games like the zags but they’ll recover

Apr 06, 2021 01:27 AM #15

EDIT: I mean Butler.

Apr 06, 2021 01:28 AM #16

Expect Baylor will get too cocky with the guards dribbling around and they’ll start chucking stupid shots

Apr 06, 2021 01:28 AM #17

Ayayi was a difference maker in the F4. We will see. Baylor has more size.

Apr 06, 2021 01:28 AM #18

Baylor came to play. Gonzaga will make a run and the game might be decided by how Baylor responds to Gonzaga's run.

Apr 06, 2021 01:28 AM #19

Yes Sir Buddy - - -Yes Sir buddy. - -I'm still in the minority , thats ok - -I'm sticking with Baylor - -Quick -- quick Gonzaga hasn't seen the likes of Mitchell and guys like this in this tourney

ummm Nope. - -your hoping

Apr 06, 2021 01:29 AM #21

Too many weapons. Gonzaga can't handle their guards and Timme might do nothing against real bigs.

Apr 06, 2021 01:29 AM #22

Baylor is wayyyy too athletic for the zags

Apr 06, 2021 01:29 AM #24

@jayballer67 I’m rooting for the bears, but I’ve seen their coach

Apr 06, 2021 01:32 AM #25

A couple non calls here. Zags should have 2 more fouls

Apr 06, 2021 01:32 AM #26

Guess Gonzaga hasn’t played two hard games in a row all year

Apr 06, 2021 01:32 AM #27

Thamba is useless on offense

Apr 06, 2021 01:32 AM #28

Your stache is trash. Your beard is weird

Apr 06, 2021 01:33 AM #29

Tchuaeaue I meant

Apr 06, 2021 01:33 AM #30

Apr 06, 2021 01:34 AM #31

Bury these bitch's

Apr 06, 2021 01:35 AM #32

Might have got him with the body but I thought that looked pretty clean. This always happens, though. Officials call the score.

Apr 06, 2021 01:35 AM #33

Timmee is being out quicked. - - long way to go - -But like I'm tellin ya Baylor is all up in this ass

Apr 06, 2021 01:36 AM #34
Apr 06, 2021 01:36 AM #35

Honestly didn't think Baylor's bigs would be doing this well defensively against Timme. I thought not having Freddie Gillespie would be Baylor's undoing in this game.

Apr 06, 2021 01:37 AM #36

Alllll ball gtfo Grant Hill

Apr 06, 2021 01:37 AM #37

Put vital on Suggs

Apr 06, 2021 01:38 AM #38

Not gonna happen Kispert. WCC welcome to the B12

Apr 06, 2021 01:44 AM #39

Cue up the ticky tack fouls on baylor

Apr 06, 2021 01:46 AM #40

Again I've been tellin ya - - -School these punks

Apr 06, 2021 01:48 AM #41

Vital is probably the best passer on the bears team. Best flopper too

Apr 06, 2021 01:50 AM #42

Zags to zone. Tear it up.

Apr 06, 2021 01:52 AM #43

Bears getting sloppy with the ball.

Apr 06, 2021 01:52 AM #44

Zone will require unselfishness by the bears. Uh oh

Apr 06, 2021 01:56 AM #45

Baylor slop leads to easy Gonzaga buckets.

Apr 06, 2021 01:56 AM #46

Good adjustment on D by Few. If Baylor cools off from three they should be able to chip away enough for the bears to implode

Apr 06, 2021 01:56 AM #47

do you hear - -can you feel how these announcers are just crying - - whining begging pleading for Gonzaga

Apr 06, 2021 01:58 AM #48

@jayballer67 that’s a given but officiating has actually been pretty good so far

Apr 06, 2021 01:59 AM #49

Amazing how many layups and dunks the zags get

Apr 06, 2021 02:01 AM #50

That was all ball

Apr 06, 2021 02:03 AM #51

Vital is not Shamwow

Apr 06, 2021 02:03 AM #52

Not a good sign that Baylor can’t close out the half

Apr 06, 2021 02:04 AM #53

Clueless drew

Apr 06, 2021 02:04 AM #54

Well that was awful last play. Waited too long.

Apr 06, 2021 02:07 AM #55

Signing off. Just Really can’t root for either team. Hope it’s an interesting finish.

Apr 06, 2021 02:07 AM #56

I"m just saying STILL taking Baylor & 5

Apr 06, 2021 02:08 AM #57

13-2 FT's. Officials keeping Gonzaga in it a bit in the first half.

Apr 06, 2021 02:09 AM #58

Zags just flat got outhustled the first 10 minutes, especially on the boards, while Baylor was shooting like the 1985 Villanova team.

Back to a manageable 10 points at the half. If they keep going inside, they could get the Bears deeper in foul trouble.

Apr 06, 2021 02:36 AM #61

Come on , dam I'm I the only person alive that can hear how biased begging announcers talking about Gonzaga ? - -Dam talking about how Gonzaga has trimmed the baylor lead ? - - Umm - -Baylor has actually added a point to the lead since half - -give that s - - - a rest

Apr 06, 2021 02:37 AM #62

@jayballer67 do you seriously think you're the only one who thinks the announcers are pro Gonzaga?

Apr 06, 2021 02:37 AM #63

Gonzaga just sucks - - Sorry America

Apr 06, 2021 02:38 AM #64

@jayballer67 Announcers always talk up how the trailing team can catch up. The network wants a close game, not a blowout.

@jayballer67 heh. I did tell Grant Hill to gtfo when he said Shamwow fouled on a clean block.

Apr 06, 2021 02:40 AM #68

Man. Dumb foul on Shamwow. Need that guy in the paint.

Still saying BAYLOR

Apr 06, 2021 02:44 AM #71

Baylor looking so good in transition. Why can't we look like that fast breaking into a wide open 3, shooter stepping into it with rebounders and balance.

Apr 06, 2021 02:44 AM #72

Man. The Zags look spent.

Apr 06, 2021 02:44 AM #73

TOTAL DOMINATION FROM TIP TO TIP[

Apr 06, 2021 03:16 AM #84

Baylor: first current, non-KU Big 12 team since 1946 Okie Lite to win a men’s hoops title.

Apr 06, 2021 03:19 AM #85

Well, congrats to Baylor. They deserved it. Stifling defense and domination on the boards.

As for Gonzaga, they'll just reload.

Apr 06, 2021 03:23 AM #86

Gonzaga fans can make NO excuses - -TOTAL DOMINATION from wire to wire .Couldn't happen to a better team. Gonzaga plays in a weak , weak Conference - and so much for that perfect Season. - -Itold ya -- I told ya - -Baylor - - BIG 12 - GREAT JOB Bears

Apr 06, 2021 03:25 AM #87

Baylor kicked G in the nards from opening tip

The Only team the bears lost to this year ... I forgot...

Apr 06, 2021 03:26 AM #88

Game ball should go to vital

Apr 06, 2021 03:27 AM #89

That was a wire-to-wire ass-kicking of an undefeated team by Baylor. Congrats to them.

Two things: Baylor might have gone undefeated this season if not for Covid. Gonzaga doesn't go undefeated playing in the B12 or probably any power conference.

With all the transfers, NIL, covid, and no fans this year, I almost gave up on college basketball....but now just like every year, I watch one shining moment, get pissed cause another season is over and now I'm all in again. I can't wait till October to see the boys in blue suit up for "midnight" madness. I'll convince myself that no matter the rankings, KU is the best team in the conference and probably the nation...at worst 3rd in the nation. I'll endure the early losses with hopeful bliss that we just need to get past the Christmas break and HCBS will have this team turned around. We'll go undefeated from mid Jan to March. Lose in the 2nd round of the big 12 tournament. Then I'll fill out a bracket with KU on the winning line with a final score of 72 to 65 and hope for a 2021 Houston draw where we don't play anybody till the final four.

Jesus....I miss college basketball already and it's only been about 37 minutes.

Apr 06, 2021 08:06 AM #95

Was texting one of my best friends who is wicked smart about hoops this exact thing. This is the optimal way to build a college basketball team. ?s=21

I’m not friends with Bill James but I would really like to be lmao

Apr 06, 2021 11:49 AM #96

Congrats to Baylor. Bout all I got

Apr 06, 2021 12:03 PM #97

I have to say, Gonzaga probably never wins a championship at this point. They've had some great teams over the years but hard to imagine them every having a roster that good again.

The best way to build a college basketball team is always three ballhandlers, two shooters, one post scorer and three athletic interior guys.

Three ballhandlers gives you three guys that can create shots for themselves or others at any time.

Two shooters allows you to space the floor around your ballhandlers for spot up looks to punish a collapsing defense.

One post up guy gives you an interior player that you can run plays for out of timeouts, or when you need to slow things down.

Three athletic bigs eliminate the risk of foul trouble because those guys are interchangeable and can always defend and rebound, regardless of which combination is on the floor.

As Baylor demonstrated, you can get away with not having the post up big if you have enough creators on the perimeter. Baylor actually had four this year (Mitchell, Butler, Teague and Flagler). That made a huge difference with being able to always draw the defense for a lob to a lurking big man inside.

But more than that, the most important thing is to have at least three NBA caliber players on the roster. Mitchell and Butler are sure things, and it wouldn't surprise me to see one of those big guys make it as well. I could see Flagler or Teague also get a shot in the NBA.

The biggest takeaway from last night, though, is that Gonzaga still needs more NBA caliber talent to win a national title. Timme looked overwhelmed at times. Only Kispert and Suggs didn't seem rattled at any point. Ayayi was a nonfactor. Nembhard disappeared. They got very little from their bench.

I thought the Zags had three or four NBA caliber guys. Turns out they may have only had two. And that's why they lost.

Apr 06, 2021 05:18 PM #99

@justanotherfan Besides, with those 9 guys as your foundation, you will have the other team completely outnumbered!
